Allow me to elaborate.

One of my good friends made a post in her journal clearly stating she is distraught about something that happened in class.
I offer her a 'shoulder to lean on' and she tells me what happened to her. She was showing off pictures of her vacation/or cosplay or something in class and two guys started to make jokes about her weight.

They called her 'tubby', 'fatty', you know. The kind of childish remarks that many Americans heard in their youth and such or just hear them all the time at flamecup.

But these words tore up my friend so much that she actually confessed in crying in the bathroom later over what happened.
Now, my buddy here isn't the kind of girl to cry about anything so when I read that, I just became so dishearten.

Are people in this world that horribly insensitive or what? Everyday I walk outside in this piss pot called 'Harlem' I find myself hating the people who live here. Everything from gay-bashing jokes to hateful racial jokes...

The whole nine yards of disgustedly foul remarks that just make me wonder what happened to having some standards here?
Is teasing a girl about her weight is something that 20 and 27 year olds should do?

When do people grow up? Or do we just stay the same fucktards we are born as?

I explained that one or two usually means it's something you can fix at home, like it may be a little overheated and needs to be turned off or the A/V cable might be falling out, and that if it's three+ he needs to call Microsoft to have them arrange to send it off for repairs as it's still under warranty. He hangs up, and not a minute later the phone rings and this time Brandon answers it... I hear him describing the same things I just said in my conversation minutes ago and after Brandon hangs up he tells me that it was the same guy I just talked to, he said to him "hey that's the same thing that girl said."

I'm bitchbooking a couple of Atlanta protesters. While I was in Atlanta getting a few things done I ended up seeing one specific person holding up a sign with a dead baby on it for their little "anti-abortion" thing. (Or something to do with abortions. I don't know. Pro-choice?) To me that is just doing more harm than good. That was one of the things that basically made me almost sick to my stomach last week. I know it's alright to voice opinions and concerns sometimes, but don't be a narrow-minded, bigoted asshole. That was one thing I could have gone without seeing, even though there are many pictures of that sort of stuff on the internet. Just because you think something is wrong and you want to push to ban it all together doesn't mean people are going to lay down and listen to you just because you have a problem with it.

I really wish I could have hopped out of the truck and punched that one person in the face for even having that sign. If you don't like abortion, why the fuck are you carrying around a dead baby picture? "Well, it's to show how morally wrong it is." But it's okay to show kids and mothers pictures of dead babies? Fuck you and go back home. Preferably to your basement, and stay there for a long time. If I see the same thing the next time I go into Atlanta for my hospital visit I'm going to bring water balloons filled with dog urine or something. My justification would be "well, you showed pictures of dead babies so I felt it was okay for me to throw a water balloon at you. I mean, it doesn't hurt you, right?"

I'm starting to hate people down here.
