facts born adrianna rose russo october 24th, 1987 has an older brother, sully adrianna has always been big on family. she's fiercely loyal and incredibly protective of all her family members. this stems from the fact that she lost her father, whom she'd always adored and looked up to, at such a young age. she was, for lack of better words, a daddy's girl until her father passed. after that, adri pulled into herself and became somewhat of a recluse despite the nagging from her mother to continue being the sunshiney child she always was. without her dad, it just wasn't the same. where it's easy for some people to get over the loss of a loved one, parents included, it wasn't for adrianna. years later as a teen, she was still dealing with the loss. after an assignment in her creative writing class, adrianna was able to use the angst and pain she'd kept bottled up inside for so long to good use. at the age of 13 adri began writing down everything she was thinking and feeling, keeping an incredibly detailed journal of sorts. from this she began writing poetry and songs, not really intent on doing anything with them, but as a means of dealing with losing her father. it helped, and in the end became more beneficial to her than she'd realized at that point. at the age of 16 adri formed a band with a few of her friends as something to pass the time. she'd always been something of a tomboy, heavily into sports (mostly soccer, but she did have a background in dance that she never liked to admit to since it was too girly) and video games and getting messy in the mud, so it only made sense that when her male friends wanted to attempt something musically, she was right there ready and willing to join in. nobody ever pegged her as being muscial, she'd never sang in front of anybody before and she'd never shown her "songs" to anybody, those had always been private, too private, to let anyone else see. but when the band was at a loss with what exactly to pursue, adri opened up and surprised them all. even just a few months into it and a few open mic nights under her belt, adri knew this was what she wanted to pursue for a living. standing on stage with the mic in her hand, belting out the words she never thought she'd share with anybody, that was when she felt her best. she could forget about how much she'd missed her dad even though by this time the pain had lessened considerably. she still missed him regardless. when the band disbanded due to everyone moving away for college, adri remained focused and intent on making her music happen. she continued to write, continued to perform at open mic nights, and eventually years of hardwork paid off for her. currently adri is trying to balance school, music, and work all while living in a seedy apartment in greenwich village. she's attending NYU as a music major, focusing mostly on a vocal program that's offered. when she's not at school or at her apartment, she's working at a record store. she prefers to keep her life as close to the music business as possible, and thanks to her ever loving manager she can even distrubute copies of the demos she recently cut for free. though it's hard work, adri is determined to make something of herself in the music business, and she won't stop until she knows she's given it her full effort
