Biography: When Marie Maddock had found out she was pregnant, it was as if her life was coming crashing down around her. Her parents had not approved of the decision of keeping the baby as the child would grow up to be without a father. The thought of giving it up, however, made Marie sick and on December 20th, 1985 in the middle of the night, Elijah Maddock came into the world.

His childhood could have been a lot worse, the more that he thought about it. When he was only six months old, his mother had left him on his grandparents door step and he hasn't heard a thing from her since. He had heard many stories about her while he grew up, though he never was sure if he should have believed them or not.

School was definitely not his thing and it showed. His grades were terrible despite the fact that his grandmother had a strict rule of three hours of studying as soon as he got home from school, as she and her husband paid top dollar for him to get a good education and make something of himself. Instead, in that spare study time, Elijah found himself immersed in books and magazines about music and art. It wasn't until he was twelve that he finally expressed his love for music to his grandparents, and asked for a simple acoustic guitar for his thirteen birthday.

So between doing miserable in school and his constant studying, Elijah found himself teaching himself how to play guitar. He was surprised, and somewhat relieved with how naturally it came to him. It was soon coming up that he was playing more than studying, and his grandmother really had given up with forcing him into the books.

While he was teaching himself guitar, he was quite grateful to have met a boy with the same sort of love for music as himself. Elijah and Cameron Trevelyan had become very good friends, quite fast despite the difference in school years. Cameron had left school before Elijah to go to University, though when his friend had expressed that he wanted to leave for the United States, Elijah was on board with the idea to go with him, his grandparents once again did not approve of this decision.

Once they had arrived in LA, Elijah found himself jumping job to job in hopes to find something that he actually liked and was willing to spend more than a month at. He finally found a somewhat stable job at a small record shop where he found more and more music for himself, way more than he could ever have dreamed of. He was pretty much in music heaven working here.

In the record shop, there was a lot of downtime. He found himself bringing his guitar to work and playing around with some tunes, though didn't exactly thing he'd get anywhere with it, he just did it to pass time. However, the thoughts continued and he discussed things with Cam to the point where the two started to play together. And it was not long after that they had formed a band called, "The Midnight Train".

They started recording their work and uploaded it to MySpace and Purevolume and other music sites of the like. A fanbase had started to form when they released their EP, The Way We Talk. A major label scooped them up only a couple months after they had released their EP and went into the studio to record Can't Stop, Won't Stop which has now been out since last summer.
