The update limit is two weeks with three placeholders in a row allowed. After three placeholders, if you haven't written a substantial update or contacted the mods for an extension, you're up to be removed or overridden. Don't cross IC/OOC lines. If you do, you're at risk of being removed. Don't apply with usernames like ~jessiebearxxoo. The letters of your characters name and underscores are appropriate, but anything else is not.
