  • the student council

    The student council consists of six positions. The members of the council are chosen by popular vote each year. The positions are as follows:

  • President: The President shall call, direct, and oversee all meetings and activities and act as representative and spokesperson from the council to higher administration. In the event that an issue or request is brought to attention by high administration the President will communicate all reports. The president shall be responsible for advocacy of topics and initiatives, insurance that all council matters are secure, and the approval and signing of all legislation. ( The Amethyst )

  • Vice President: When the President is not able, the Vice-President all, direct, and oversee all meetings and activities and act as representative and spokesperson from the council to higher administration. It shall also be the responsibility of the Vice-President to keep the President and the Director abreast of all projects and train and advise newer members to the council. In the event of the President's removal from office the Vice President shall assume the office. ( open )

  • Treasurer: The Treasurer shall be responsible for all financial matters, including the calculation, submission, disbursing, and keeping of all monetary funds, and shall work in conjunction with the Director of Events and Secretary when deemed appropriate. A financial report and approved budget must be presented to the headmistress semi-annually. The Treasurer shall also be responsible for providing the archives with the previous monetary records of the organization at the end of the academic year. ( open )

  • Secretary: The Secretary shall keep records of meetings, inform council members of the times and locations of all meetings, and work in conjunction with the Treasuer, Student Ambassador, and Director of Events concerning the internal operations and communications. The Secretary shall be for the writing, filing, and recollection of all legislation. The Secretary shall also be responsible for providing the archives with the previous records of the organization at the end of the academic year. ( open )

  • Student Ambassador: The Student Ambassdor shall be responsible for communication of student body matters to the student council. These include, but are not limited to, the creation of clubs, request for monotary funds, organization of fund raises, problems, petitions, etc. The Student Ambassador shall at all times be available to the student body for issues within the Student Council's power to direct and shall provide a write up to be preseted to the council. The Student Ambassdor shall work in conjunction with the Treasurer, Secretary, and Director of Events when nesessary. ( The Tulip )

  • Director of Events: The Director of Events shall be responsible for all significant activities within Palais Academy. The Director shall lead the chartering, planning, major execution, and regulating of events, activities, and organizations that are not specific to separate, individual clubs. The Director will work in conjuction with the Student Ambassdor, Treasurer, and Secretary when nessesary and shall present all plans and purchases to be authorized and approved by the President and Vice President.
