we don't want elitism here.
having pride for your writing abilities is one thing, but refusing to play with someone based on their layout, icons, un or any other aesthetic is a little ridiculous. while we strive for realism here, we want to promote activity, creativity and fun, so we encourage everyone to mingle.
examples - we ask for examples, mostly so that we are certain that you are able to portray a character at least somewhat accurately - we won't jump on you for your particular characterization here, but we ask that if you're playing a 25 year old, please have them act like a 25 year old and not a 12 year old. unless, of course, they're known for having that attitude in the real world, then have at it. we also want to make sure that you have decent spelling and grammar. by that, we don't mean that we care whether or not you capitalize, but we'd like to make sure that you know how to string sentences together coherently. if you possess such knowledge, and are able to abide by the golden rules of rp, you should have no problem gaining acceptance here.
updating - while we would love to see more frequent updates, the limit is 4 weeks. by then, you should have something of substance - it doesn't have to be a never ending entry, but at least more than a youtube video or one liner. you can use two placeholders, technically giving you 6 weeks before an update of substance is due, but you are only allowed to use these if you've been noticeably active on aim, comments and in the subcommunity; otherwise if you reach 4 weeks with absolutely no sign of activity, your character will be available for override.
activity - generally we would like an active community. while we realize that loads of activity from everyone may not be possible, we'd like to see you actively on aim and/or posting and commenting on the friends page at least once a week. community participation is what keeps a game going. we understand that cliques are going to be formed to an extent, but let's try to include everyone and be friendly! that being said, if you don't show any sign of activity either on aim or in the journals, your character may become available for override.
challenging - challenges are allowed for the time being, but please let's keep it simple and keep it down to two apps per character. this allows for one challenge per character.
