![]() Fawn Carllson Played By: Hayden Panettiere Birthdate & Age: 12/11/85 || 23 Residence: Stockholm, Sweden Screen name: darth fawn Biography: Fawn Carllson, granddaughter of the famous Samuel Irving Newhouse Sr. and founder of Advance Publications, was raised in the lap of luxury. From the time that she was conceived Fawn had everything she ever needed, and to an extent everything that she could ever want. Fawn's father had been born into a lower middle class family, and met Fawn's mother completely on accident after being thrown unceremoniously into society for his progress in the area of computer sciences. In an effort to keep their daughter from the sort of life that they had seen other socialites turn to Fawn's parents decided that she would grow up primarily outside of the reaches of the other children who had been essentially born rich. Fawn lived her pre-school years in the country on a ranch that her family had in the northwestern United States. It wasn't until elementary school rolled around that Fawn was placed into a world of other wealthy children or that she even learned that she was wealthy. While her life was one of vacation homes, shopping trips, and journeys overseas her parents did the best they could to keep their daughter well grounded. While during the winters on holiday and at intervals during the summers Fawn and her family would travel to exotic and exciting places every summer during her holiday she would return to the ranch in the country, even being encouraged to get several part time jobs. Even with all of these efforts her parents grew more relaxed after Fawn had entered school. It was due to fawn begging her mother that she received her first voice role at the age of 6 as a very minor part in the animated film Aladdin. The part was essentially nothing, done basically for the whim of a child of someone who was owed a favor. Fawn was uncredited and most of the part she played was cut, but fawn was absolutely delighted with it, and rather than being satisfied as her mother had planned for her to be after the initial excitement wore off she only wanted more. Her mother told her that it was out of the question but after much begging and reasoning Fawn was allowed one more minor role, this time the next year in the production of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Again the role was very small and even though she begged again her mother would have nothing of her taking part in any more of what she saw as silliness. Fawn was returned to the ranch and went back to school. It was five years before Fawn was allowed to try for any other voice roles, but in 1998 Fawn was allowed to take part in the voice cast for The Prince of Egypt as young Miriam. The role was small, but it somehow made Fawn feel as though she wasn't just being humored anymore and maybe there was something to what it was that she was doing. Despite this she was only 11 years old, and because of this Fawn took no more part in the world of Hollywood until in 2003 she was approached for an interview in a documentary about those who were born rich. No longer needing the approval of her parents, or so she felt at the tender, rebellious age of 18, Fawn accepted the request and allowed herself to be interviewed in what ended up being a highly controversial documentary. Fawn's family was horrified, feeling that their daughter had betrayed them in some way. Her grandfather was outraged, as was the rest of the family and there were many threats that Fawn would be cut off. Thankfully, despite Fawn's blunt and honest nature, she'd been raised outside of the bounds of popular society in her social circle and had had very little that was telling to reveal. Everything blew over in a matter of months and Fawn was back in questionably good standing with her family, having survived the first of many scandals. In the next few years Fawn laid low. She went to college in California and worked hard, achieving decent grades and a reputation as a bit of a bitch. She didn't have many friends, but that was something that had never bothered Fawn. As the years passed she did a couple more minor roles during 2004 and 2005 for a bit of extra pocket change that she wouldn't be leeching from her parents as she wasn't set to truly inherit until she'd turned 21 and was still technically living off of them. The idea bothered her nearly as much as the idea that she was beginning to be perceived as one of the rich brats of society in Hollywood, because as unpleasant as Fawn could be she was still one of them, she was still social, and she was still watched and accounted for. It wasn't until 2006 that Fawn finally landed a lead voice role as Sally Carrera in the Disney animated film Cars. Fawn had never had so much fun in her life as she did recording that movie. Though she was majoring in business Fawn knew that she couldn't really see herself doing anything else but voice acting. She'd always sworn up and down that she hated the idea of acting in live film, and told interviewers she didn't want to be one of those rich kids with all of the disdain in her voice that she felt necessary. Despite this when she was approached to audition for Giselle in Disney's movie Enchanted she couldn't really help herself. She'd always loved the idea of sticking a Disney princess into the real world and seeing her get smacked by the bitch that was reality and so she went in for the audition, feeling a little lost, but in typical Fawn fashion, completely secure in her audition. Maybe it was some of that confidence translating over, but shortly afterward Fawn found herself in her first live production. Despite her initial misgivings Fawn found that she really did enjoy on screen acting, and filming Enchanted was one of the most rewarding experiences of her life. Though she had earlier the year before received her full inheritance it felt good to her that she was doing something that she loved and earning money that was her own and not that of her parents or her grandfather. While she enjoyed the experience of on screen acting Fawn's real passion was in voice work, and true to her love of it, Fawn went for her next role as Viper in the animated movie Kung Fu Panda. During this role she remembered just exactly what it was about what she did that she loved so much. When she accepted the role as Bulma in the new Dragonball movie interviewers asked her if she planned to actually break on to the silver screen personally to which she answered that she hadn't really intended to get either of her on screen roles, but she hadn't been able to resist either of them, despite them turning her into a bit of a hypocrite. Her image with the press was questionable already, and she saw no need to nurture it. Fawn, while respected as an actress both on and off screen, has a bit of a love/hate relationship with the public. Her straightforward, honest, and blunt nature as well as her lack of regard for the fact that she lives life in the public eye make her a bit of a PR nightmare, and gives her a mixed public opinion. Fawn has been on dlisted.com so many times she can't even count them, and Perez Hilton loathes her with ever fiber of his pretentious being, but none of this matters to Fawn. She's living her life how she wants to and by her rules which gains her both respect and ridicule in the celebrity world. During her time in college and between movies Fawn has done a good deal of moving around, renting apartments here and there, just exploring the world on her own power and looking for adventure. One would say she was attempting to outrun the press, but the truth is that as annoying as they are Fawn doesn't usually mind them. She has a mixed image with the press but that doesn't mean she needs to be a dick to them all. To Fawn they're hard working people and she'll only really screw with the ones that are extremely rude to her. Currently Fawn is officially residing in a flat in Stockholm, though it's relatively rare that she's actually there. She'd like to take a little relaxation time for herself now that filming of Dragonball is finished and is assessing where exactly she'd like to head with her life.
