Other stuff: Ethan's one of those laid back kind of guys. He wouldn't be caught dead in a club, but doesn't like the silence breathing down his neck that's found at home, so bars are a regular retreat. He refuses to move to New York City permanently, instead crashing with a friend whenever he's needed for work purposes, as he believes thoroughly that it'd be a cliche of the highest level were he to live there for good. Not, of course, that he avoids most cliches towards writers by being a heavy smoker and drinker, but it's the thought that counts -- living in NYC would be too much. His sense of humor is easy going, with plenty of self-directed ribbing, but don't get him started on a majority of politically-based things or he'll talk your ear off. When asked how he got into writing romance novels, he gives a different reply each time, rarely if ever admitting the real reasons. But, despite his annoyance with big cities in general, he does visit them fairly often to meet with friends or hang out, and has no issue in traveling when need be. Also: owns three Great Danes, named Athos, Porthos, and Aramis, has one blue eye and one brown eye, and does all writing for his novels on a typewriter or long hand instead of on the computer.
