Biography: Preston Meyers was born and raised in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, a place that has since proved to be the bane of his existence. His parents, Mary Ellen and Joseph, divorced when Preston was nine years old, and he and his sister were sent to live with his Grandmother, Judith, while his mother and father figured out their new living arrangements. After Megan returned to their parents, Preston decided to stay with his grandmother, though, preferring the lifestyle she offered over being split between two parents. Judith was, and still is, very religious, and while she never successfully converted her Grandson, she's had a very large impact on Preston.

In high school, he met Georgiana Fallon and Malachi Scully, and eventually formed Machine, when they were only teenagers. He was a shy kid, and in many ways still is an intensely private person. Though, his onstage and performing persona are obviously brash, rude, and unrefined, Preston is very guarded and restrained. In fact, he's often teased for being much more reserved offstage. They started off with no huge dreams or delusions of grandeur, just a common purpose and love of music. That's not to say that they weren't surprised and grateful for all the progress they made. The awards and record sales aren't what they used to define themselves as successful. They always wanted to be judged by their creations, not faces, nor endorsements or paychecks. Nearly 20 years later, they're still going strong. There were bumps, marriages, break-ups, divorces, and numerous obstacles along the way, but they've never lost sight of their original goal. Music.
