PERSONALITY
Outgoing. Loud almost to the point of obnoxious at times. Jealous. She enjoys poking at people's buttons to see how much they can take before they lash out back at her. Known to have a bit of a flair for dramatics. Enjoys parties, and going out and drinking. Not one to back down from a dare, no matter how dangerous or stupid it might be. Truth dodger, and doesn't like to be put in a situation that she doesn't want to be or talk about something that she doesn't want to talk about. Slightly self centered, and likes to point out other people's flaws before her own. Maybe slightly neurotic, but knows what she wants. Loves to flirt, and to be flirted with. Says things before she thinks. Lives for no regrets. A bit hypocritical.


BIOGRAPHY
Tasha Vanderplast was born in September of 1983 in a small town in Oklahoma to her parents Rick and Hannah Vanderplast. She was born secord of three children, and quickly became bossiest of the three siblings. From an early age, Tasha enjoyed directing her sibling, friends, and neighborhood kids in "plays" usually with her as the lead. In the small town where she's from there wasn't much to do, so imagination was her outlet for her budding creativity. While in school, she joined every drama and music club that would have her. In high school, she was voted "Most Likely to Marry Last", "Most Outgoing", and "Biggest Flirt" by her fellow seniors, which amused her. After graduation (she graduated 15 out of the 125 in her class), Tasha went to school at the University of Kansas, and majored in media studies with an empathsis in broadcast journalism. Lawrence, Kansas, is well noted for it's underground and indie music scenes, and she spent a fair bit of her time as part of the student run air staff interviewing up and coming artists. That's when she realized she really wanted to do music herself, so she began to write songs for herself as well. After graduating college, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she spent time on the air staff of the KDKB radio station there. Phoenix is also where she met Jack Harling. The two of them were on and off a lot. Tasha claimed she couldn't stand the sight of him, but everyone who really knew anything knew better. She also spent time focusing on her own sound, and honing her song writing into something that she could be proud of. On a whim she recorded her first demo, never actually intending to send it out: but after one drunken night she sent them all out on a dare while still intoxicated. The next morning when she realized what she'd done, she tried to convince the postmaster that she wanted them back, but he looked at her like she was crazy. Defeated, she went home and told herself that no one would ever hear them. But hear them they did, and in late 2006, someone gave her that call. The call that the record company in question wanted to hear more, and if she wanted to come to Los Angeles to give it a try. She packed everything up, and moved out to Los Angeles to see if she could really do this. She enjoys music, and performing for all the fans is one of the biggest rushes she could ever think of. That is, until she went off and married her on and off beau, Jack Harling in a very surprising ceremony in Las Vegas. Currently, she splits her time between New York and Los Angeles, trying her best to avoid her husband. She isn't about to admit she's in deep, let alone married, so she pretends it never happened. She's a queen at avoiding a subject she doesn't want to talk about, and has walked out on an interview because someone pushed the Jack subject. However, she's very protective of him, and will jump down someone's throat if they talk shit about him. It may not make sense to others, but it's 100% all right in her head.
