Biography:
Westley is the second child of well-known director Robert Greene, and his wife, Tricia. He has an older sister and a younger, and has always been that annoying, attention-seeking middle child. Born shortly after the family's move to Los Angeles, he has never known a life outside of the industry. Though his father tried to give his children a normal life (forbidding them to enter the industry until after high school graduation), there was never much doubt that Westley would follow the same path as his older sister. Despite much wheedling on his part, and extravagant shows of just how dramatic he could be, West wasn't allowed to take any parts before he received his diploma. Unsurprisingly, his graduation present was an agent, and shortly after that, he lined up his first role in The Perfect Score (2004). After that, though, what could have been a skyrocketing career dropped off into near-anonymity, except with a certain crowd. He landed the part of Logan Echolls on Veronica Mars (2004), which gave him a small (but loyal) fanbase. It also gave him a reputation for being the "bad boy" type character, which he continued in his only other film role, playing the charming but dangerous Bryce in Fierce People (2005).

For the next couple of years, he stuck with Veronica Mars and didn't branch out at all from there. He liked the cast, and after growing up with a certain amount of fame for his entire life, he wasn't in pursuit of stardom. West was more than content to let his sister have the skyrocketing career, while he just enjoyed himself until the right project came along. That project turned out to be Twilight (2008), though at the time he had no idea what he was getting himself into. He auditioned on impulse, and mostly because his close friend was involved and he wanted to catch her off-guard; he didn't expect to actually win the part. Nor did he realize just how much notoriety he'd gain for playing the ever-popular Edward Cullen. It can't be said that he doesn't enjoy the attention, though.

West is a very outgoing guy, and while he may not have actively sought out the spotlight in the past, he certainly basks in it when it's turned on him. He's known for being a prankster on set and a charmer (though occasionally a bit of an ass) in interviews. When it comes to the media, he does get a kick out of starting false rumors and encouraging existing ones, so it's almost impossible to know if what he's saying is the truth. There's not much that he takes seriously, though those who have worked with him will tell you that when it comes time to work, West really does work. He may not be a method actor, but when he's in character it's hard to snap him out of it. (Though you can bet that made things awkward on the Twilight set when he was causing trouble one minute, and Edward Cullen the next.)

Other stuff: Hates to be called Westley and goes by West instead; he has heard just about every Princess Bride joke possible by now. Lives in New York City nowadays, because it puts him close to both Juliet (Evans) and Sam (Dausen). Is basically a slob, and only cleans his place when he knows he's going to have visitors other than close friends. Doesn't date much. Is constantly misplacing his cell, so he has all of his friends' phone numbers memorized in case he has to use a payphone.

OOC: Central time, on.. most of the time. Random scenes/IMs/what-have-yous totally welcome! Thread or AIM.
