Adella Burnshaw-Emerton Name: Adella Burnshaw Emerton Occupation: actress/musician (sounds like zooey deschanel) AIM & Journal: acapella adella & ~adella Age: 26 Birth date: December 15, 1984 City of residence: NYC Biography born to a popular director and an israeli model, adella burnshaw had all the markings of someone who was bound for fame. immersed in show business since birth adella was comfortable being in the spotlight and experienced the numerous rites of passage which accompanied fame. initially she took on the role of the socialite, merely famous because of her parents. there were parties, drugs, drinking and of course rehab in the summer. it wasn't that she was a bad kid, she just sort of lost control. she got in and out of trouble and all the while she attended the prime boarding and private schools and made connections with the children of other famous individuals like best friend dean emerton. she was accepted to college, her parents made sure of that. columbia was a rude wake up call. adella soon figured out the only reason people knew her was because she had a miserable text book case of poor little rich girl. she decided she wanted to be known for something besides being a train wreck. she buckled down, swore off parties and earned her grades. after a year in college at columbia she was invited to have a cameo in catch me if you can. adella had roughly three minutes of screen time playing a hollywood call girl and found the entire experience to be fabulous. she auditioned immediately after for a goofy christmas comedy that called for a singer. adella had been in love hate relationships with various instruments for the majority of her life but never tried her hand at singing before the audition. she was cast as the carol singing jovie in elf and is still best known for this role. in november of 2008 adella began dating dean emerton a move which gained much criticism from the press as he was barely out of his previous relationship. she gained a reputation for being a girlfriend stealer and a homewrecker. just the same her career went on. she is currently married to dean. adella has traditionally favored independent projects for her career. she has never been interested in making blockbusters and her resume attests to this. recently she has gained a notable boom in popularity as an actress perhaps due to her social life and has been making films that might be considered a bit more mainstream including enchanted and he's just not that into you. she has been working on fostering a singing career alongside her friend, tristan moseby. while they have not released an album they have recorded a few songs which are being used commercially and gaining popularity from being featured on television as well as in films.
