Most of his film roles were hand picked by his father, but recently Evan has taken the initiative to seek out his own roles. |
| FAVORITES: | Art, especially post-impressionism and abstract art. Classical music. Freshly baked bread. Nightlife, or being out at night in general. The moon. Sunglasses. Green tea. |
| POSITIVE TRAITS: | Unfortunately, Evan has few positive traits, due to his drug addictions. He tried to hide his addiction from others, and many people who don't know him very well think he's an "okay guy". He does have moments, however, when he can be extremely nice, and he is a very good listener. He is naturally a very creative person, and when he takes the initiative, he's a quick learner. He's also a very intelligent person. |
| NEGATIVE TRAITS: | Evan abuses cocaine, and some prescription medicine on a regular basis. Because of this, he can be very irrational, aggressive, or irritable. He also tends to be anxious and impatient, and will have a hard time waiting on something. Evan is quite manipulative, and will lie or use charm to get what he wants. He's easily envious of others and what they have, since he sees himself as having nothing (even though he has quite a lot.), and also, he tends to avoid social situations and can be difficult to talk to. |
| BIOGRAPHY: | When Aaren Ralston, a very talented and wealthy film producer, began working on a film penned by the eloquent and beautiful Donna Marie Crewe, the two instantly fell in love. Donna Marie was free spirited and outspoken, and Aaren's articulate and logical persona was, oddly enough, the perfect balance for her. They wed after only eight months of courtship, and Donna, at the age of 28, had their only son, Nathaniel Evan Ralston.
Nathaniel, or as he would prefer to be called, Evan, was destined for great things. He was born into a wealthy family, with powerful parents who did not lack in motivation and resources. As a young boy, Evan was handed the world, and in return, his parents only asked one thing: that he uphold the family name and continue to be a proud, thriving, and excellent Ralston.
And for awhile, Evan honestly did try to uphold all of his parent's standards.
Growing up in the center of New York City's elite, Evan knew what it felt like to have everything, at a very young age. His very career-conscious parents were usually doing what they did best: making films, and so Evan was constantly left in the care of a nanny, or a maid, or any other hired help that was willing to watch the young boy. At first, he didn't mind his parent's distance. After all, the less he saw of them, the less he had to worry about discipline and rules. Because heaven knows, he rarely obeyed the hired help.
But there was a void created, due to the emotional distance between him and his parents. And once he had reached high school, he slowly started attempting to fill that void. Evan dabbled into scandalous behavior; drinking, staying out whenever he pleased, skipping out on the classes in which he could bribe his professors for A grades, and eventually, he stumbled into drugs. His drug of choice would soon become cocaine, as he started working on an addiction to the drug at the young age of 17.
He had no real plans for life. For the most part, he got into crazy antics with his friends, and his girlfriend at the time, Adella Burnshaw. Evan knew that if he wanted a career, it could be handed to him by his father and mother. His parents, rather than decide to intervene in his raucous behavior, instead turned a blind eye to what their son was doing. If no one knew about the activities of their son, they were at least willing enough to ignore the situation.
Time would pass and Evan would find himself in college. He continued to date his "high school sweetheart" and kept up to his same old ways. Lucky for him, his admittance into college was practically bought by his parents. In an attempt to shy his son away from drugs, Evan's father began tossing possible film roles at him, promising the then 20 year old Evan fame, fortune and other things to bring him happiness. Evan took on a few of the roles, but nothing changed his wicked ways. When he wasn't filming, he was a coked out wreck. And even sometimes when he was filming, he was still a wreck.
His life would have constant ups and down, especially after Adella ended the relationship so that she could get clean. At first, Evan didn't really think anything would change. For some reason, he always saw his life as a constant cycle of working, being with Adella, being high, or maybe all three at the same time. Over time, he noticed her changes, and Evan envied her. He wanted so much more than what life offered him, but he didn't know how to get those things. Or maybe, he wasn't yet willing to give up his addiction, so that he could focus on all the other things life has to offer.
The tabloids would have a field day with this rebel. Some times, it was his own fault: he would show up to interviews blatantly under the influence, and at one point, he even sold personal photos and a video in relation to his relationship with Adella. Sometimes, Evan wasn't trying to be a target. Sometimes he was simply followed, or caught outside his New York apartment. Regardless of the scenario though, one thing remains certain: Evan Ralston is on the wrong path in life. He'll use his acting as an escape from the reality, but when the lights go out and the makeup comes off, he's still stuck in a vicious cycle, and he's not willing to change anything just yet. |
