Biography: Garret Nicholas Fox, III was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico and raised in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. He is the only son of mining magnate Garret Nicholas Fox, Jr. and Margaret Sergeant, a Charleston, SC socialite. He is an American film director, screenwriter, producer, cinematographer and actor as well as having a controlling stock interest in Vulpis Enterprises, a oil, mining and heavy industry corporation with headquarters in New York and offices in Boston, London and Tokyo. He rose to fame in the early 1990s as an independent filmmaker whose films use nonlinear storylines and aestheticization of violence. Fox has one sister, Jillian, who is eight years younger than him and is President of Vulpis Enterprises. He attended the prestigious Boston Latin School in Boston, MA. He met his long time collaborators and eventual production company partners Kevin Allen, Peter Yates and Bryan Silver at Boston Latin. They started producing short 10 to 15 minute videos on their own, without the benefit of a program supporting them. The quartet applied to and were accepted into New York University's film major program based on their extensive independent work. Formed Vixen Films in 1984 with Allen, Yates and Silver. Won the Cannes Film Festival in 1994, the Oscar and the BAFTA for Screenwriting in 1995 for Pulp Fiction. He is the writer and director of Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill, Death Proof and Inglourious Basterds. He had a recurring role in the TV show Alias and directed the season seven finale of CSI. (More Detailed Bio)
