| "The Girl" |
| Tsura Lyuba Gori, also known as Garbo Khiell, is an ethinc Romani (Gypsy) from Romania. She is best known as a violinist: she was part of the Eastern European group Zenit, and ventured out on a solo career in 2008. She is also known as 'The Hip Hop Violinist' because of her collaborations with several rap artists. Her primary focus, however, is her own style that has been categorized as 'Industrio-Victorian'. Her show is a sort of burlesque-type revue with a Steampunk Victorian style. She is an avid crafter; she bakes, sews, draws and is currently in the process of starting her own clothing line. She and Garret have been dating since June of 2009, and is the first serious relationship Garret has had in ten years. Though there is a 20-year age difference, Garret has found her extremely insightful and her experiences mirror many of his own. Though he knows her birthname, he addresses her by the name she has chosen for herself and has used legally for the last few years. He also calls her 'Gar', which is extremely confusing to his own friends, because that is the nickname they use for him. In December, Garret asked Garbo to marry him, but only on the condition that she accept when she feels she is ready for that step. She accepted in January 2010, when she announced the news to everyone. No plans have been made of yet, thought they've been discussing an October wedding in Garret's home state of Massachusetts. |
§ Garret asked Garbo to marry him on Christmas Day by giving her his grandmother's engagement ring on a chain. The diamond in that ring was found by his grandfather, Garret Sr., in a mine in Arkansas. The uncut stone was originally 4 carats, but it was cut down to make the ring, a pair of earrings that Garret's sister Jillian wears, and the accent stones on a ruby pendant that Garret gave to Garbo several months earlier. § Before Garbo started dating Garret, she considered herself a lesbian and had only dated women exclusively for years.

| "The Fox Den" |
| In 1991, Garret started production on his first feature length film from a script he started to write on a trip to Amsterdam. It told the story of a jewel heist that
went completely wrong and was told completely out of order. The title of the movie was Reservoir Dogs; he formed his film company, Vixen Films, with his three best friends in order to film the movie. But as a first-time director/producer with no collateral in the business, Garret had a hard time finding funding and talent to make his vision come to life. He shopped his script out to every talent agent in LA, to no avail. No-one established wanted to take a chance on what looked like a train wreck of a script.
However, a firm in London got a hold of the script through its LA connections, and got it in front of Black Adder sidekick Hector MacLaren. MacLaren agreed to audition for the role of 'Mr. Orange' in the story. His enthusiasm brought his acting partner, Quentin Bailey, on board as 'Mr. Blond'. The combined clout and BBC connections of these two actors got Lars Heiblum, a former Dutch Special Forces member who had turned to acting and was well known in Europe on board in the role of 'Mr. White'. Last to join the cast was Tobias Fox, a cocky young actor that Garret though entirely too young to play 'Mr. Pink', but who was so engaging and realistic in the spot that Garret had to give it to him. Together, they saved Dogs from ending up in the long litany of never made films. They also helped launch Garret's career.
By 1993, he was able to lure Marchelina Bourduex to join the cast of his next movie, Pulp Fiction playing against Lars as Victor Vega. Pulp Fiction ended up being Garret's most influential work, earning him a Golden Palm from the cannes Film Festival and his first Oscar for Original Screenplay. In addition, the sister of Hector's signifigant other at the time, Manon Hollande, a well-known French actress had agreed to appear in a small role in Resevior Dogs. Her role was eventually edited out, and even though Garret went on to cast her in small parts in Pulp Fiction and Four Rooms, he felt that there was something else that she could play. However, before he could write her a role, his father was killed in a car accident and Garret left film-making, seeemingly for good.
Hector, Quentin, Lars, Toby, Manny and Lina, however, would not allow Garret to go quietly into the business world, and bullied, cajoled and all but begged him to return to his true calling, film-making. In 1999, he began writing 2 scripts, one for a World War II film based on the Spanish film 'Inglorious Bastards' and one based on a Japanese revenge film, Lady Snowblade. The pivotal character in the Lady Snowbird film was called 'The Bride' and from the beginning, Garret would only consider Manny for it. He began filming the movie that eventually became Kill Bill in 2001, and it was released in 2 parts. Kill Bill cemented Garret's place in the Hollywood heirarchy and next to Pulp Fiction became his most acclaimed work until the release of his most recent work. Lars once again saved Garret, who was on the verge of scrapping the other script his four-year hiatus produced, the World War II based Inglourious Basterds. He was able to take on the role of Lt. Hand Landa, the SS 'Jew Hunter'. Currently, Inglourious Basterds is Garret's highest grossing film and has brough him back to the top of the Hollywood echelon. The film, and Lars' performance, have been nomitated for multiple awards, and Lars has received numerous awards for his portrayal of Hans Landa, including the Golden Palm from Cannes.
Garret has always considered these six among his closest personal friends, outside of the three people he founded his film company with. He routinely tells anyone who will listen that he owes his career to this quintet and is unabashed in stating that they can have whatever parts they would like in one of his films.
Garret also developed relationships with the people closest to his good friends. Garret had been friends with Hector when he began perusing fashion designer Beatrix Adler, who recently became Hector's wife after 15 years. Nola Sloane was Beatrix's closest friend from college and he can't quite figure out if she's with Quention or not. Garret developed friendships with them not only because of their connections to people close to him, but because he values them as individuals.

| "The Fox Den: NextGen" |
| These younger stars are the next generation of actors and actresses that Garret feels can continue the work he started. Each of them has a unique quality that makes them perfect for his stories. He also considers them 'friends' and would be willing to mentor any one of them. He jokes often with Madga about writing with her (which makes her flail on a regular basis), though unknown to her, he has every intentions of casting her in Tura Satana's role of Varla. He cast Scout Lang, one of Hollywood's most notorious starlets, in his latest work Moon the first movie he has directed that he did not write. Garret is a huge fan of her father Gabriel's works, but it was her performance in Rachel Getting Married that convinced him to give the wild child comedic actress a shot. Avery Streep wasn't Garret's first choice to play double agent Bridget von Hammersmark. As a matter of face, she was his last. But once she read for the part, he saw a lot of Manny and Lina in her delivery and took the chance on casting her. He takes just as much pride in their accomplishments as he does his original set of stars, and is shameless in heaping praise on them in interviews.
|
| ; § Though not as protective, Garret does try to look out for his younger friends as well. He considers himself an 'older brother' of sorts and frequently points out that they can turn to him for any kind of help.

| "The Assholes" |
| Garret really has zero use for any of these people, for a multiple number of reasons.
Leo King actually was part of the group how physically assulated Garret over the summer of 2009. He was 'helping out' a female friend of his that Garret had insulted--and in the process went and pinched Garbo directly from under her nose. The friend was livid and Garret very cordially gave her his home address and informed her that if she had a problem, she could damn well show up and express her views. The friend then went to King, they showed up at his Mulholland Dr. house and trashed it. Garret let them. In the melee, he did get knocked around, and he did end up with a few cracked ribs and a black eye. The police came only because his neighbors heard the crashing and called them; Garret refused to press charges and the police had to convince him to go to the hospital. Jillian flew out from New York as soon as she heard; she slapped a restraining order on King and his friend, not really to protect them but because she knew Garret wouldn't and would purposely goad them into doing it again. In his heart, Garret would love nothing more than to use his varied connections to destroy Leo King into rubble.
Growing up in Massachusetts (and a hop skip and a jump away from the Kennedy Compound) meant that Garret was well aware of the Miers family. It was rare that Garret copied Nick Fox blindly, but when it came to his dislike of the Miers family, he most certainly did. Worse yet, his mother adored them and took every opportunity to point out that the Miers' boys were 'fine upstanding citizens'. Garret's dislike of Gregory Miers has everything to do with both his sheer immaturity, arrogance and how he routinely addresses Garbo as if she was some lapdog or lackey. He knows that his signifigant other is fond of Miers, but he makes Garret's teeth itch. |
| Garret holds grudges. He's not always proud of that, but he'll admit it. Privately, he could snark on these people all day long but he constantly has to remind himself (and be reminded by others) that in the long run it's not worth it to get into confrontations because doing so will only validate the fact that they get under his skin. Occasionally though...he just cannot help himself and he'll bait one of them, just because. He'll be the first to tell you that he...is a dick at heart and imperfect.
