Samanatha Collins, successful soap actress on All My Children and writer/producer Parker Jordan were married entirely too young and were completely amazing in doing their jobs but when it came to parenting they were complete failures. Spencer spent the majority of her life with them being bounced from nanny to nanny until her parents finally agreed on one thing in their marriage; a divorce. She was bounced around from home to home for the next five years. Where she lived during the school year was a frequent argument between Samantha and Parker, neither of them wanting to take responsibility for the young life they had created between the two of them. The discussion often being in front of young and impressionable Spencer. One day while her parents were having their usual argument of who should be "stuck with the girl" she decided that she would pretend to be someone else; that's when she decided she'd become an actress. She started in plays at the age of seven years old, then got her lucky break at the age of 8 when a talent scout saw her star as Ariel, in her school's production of The Little Mermaid. He suggested she audition for Barney & Friends and she did, immediately being casted as Sarah. She spent two years on that show, eventually outgrowing the role and moving on. She fell off of the radar after that, her aunt deciding that it would be best if she finished school before she made any real decisions for her future. Being that she was home schooled, and bright, she graduated high school at the young age of fifteen. Two years later she landed the role of the neurotic Hilary Faye in teenage drama movie; SAVED!. The role would later launch her in the public eye and gain her roles in movies such as teenage comedy Superbad and grab the attention of the producers of hot new show Gossip Girl. Spencers lack of public schooling and interaction with her peers left her a bit naive and innocent, therefore she doesn't really understand the dynamics of high school drama or the realism. Spencer's first real relationship was at the age of seventeen. Her boyfriend at the time fooled her into thinking he was the perfect guy, in a relationship for two years, waiting until she was ready then breaking her heart into a million pieces. She won't reveal the details of the heartbreak and why she's not very trusting when it comes to guys and her self esteem issues, that is, unless you happen to know her well enough. She's sensitive and cares a lot about her friends and what family she does consider family (that doesn't include her parents). She's got low self esteem and self worth and puts everyone first rather than herself. It's her biggest downfall as of yet. She's fun and easy going most of the time but underneath the surface her mind is always working. She's an affectionate person and will randomly hug and kiss you.
