a little note from us

we just want to start off by saying thank you for your interest in this game. in fear of sounding like a broken record we've decided to keep this short and sweet. we just want to let you know that we aren't going anywhere - we are dedicated to keeping this game going as long as there is enough interest to keep it alive. it's not just up to us to make it happen: a good game is created by good, dedicated players. basically, as long as you are here, so are we!

rules
please remember to not cross the ic/ooc line. while we do encourage drama as it does play a large part in our lives, we don't want it to get personal. if you have any storyline ideas or anything involving your character that may affect others, please run the idea through the mods first. the update limit for this community is two weeks. we will give out prompts to help you update with; whether they be homework or event prompts your character can write about. the journals are as they are on insanejournal.com, just paper based. you can screen comments and entries from certain people. the mods will put up group threads for everyone to participate in but please, don't hesitate to make your own! as aforementioned in the journal all electrical equipment such as laptops, phones and ipods are prohibited and do not work within the castle. so there will be no lyrics community and no use of youtube as students cannot access the internet from the journals. aim is not mandatory but encouraged for interaction purposes. it can be treated like an instant message system operated via parchment.

after you are accepted you are required to post an introduction within three days or you will be up for override. all pbs must be hogwarts and age appropriate. and please remember that the school is based in the uk and only open to the citizens of the united kingdom, no transfers from france and america, please! if you have any queries on the matter please don't hesitate to contact us.

applying is very simple. we only require examples for you to join and your acceptance will be based on your writing skills. once you have been accepted we will hand out 'assignments' as well as the option to complete 'homework' and respond to 'update prompts' that will earn you housepoints. the assignments will be completed in character and the first will involve filling in a survey that details facts and such about your character. this will be given to members once the first set of adds have been completed.
