all journal usernames should be in character, relating to some part of your character's name with no extra words, numbers, or underscores. the same goes for aim screen names. also, you must have a screen name ready before you apply.

first posts and/or examples are required when applying. please provide us with at least one journal entry and one scene example. compilation journals are preferred, especially when challenging.

celebrities from all walks of life are welcome, including scene queens as long as they have some sort of claim to fame (i.e. model, photographer, designer, etc.). however, significant others, siblings, and/or groupies will not be accepted if they do not have their own claim to fame.

keep IC and OOC separate at all times! mixing of any kind will not be tolerated and you will be removed without warning if we receive any complaints.

all pregnancy storylines must be approved by the mod and played out realistically and to term.

you have three days to post your introduction in ~civitas after you are added or you will be considered inactive and your role will be up for grabs.

after you are added, your first update is due within two weeks. after your first update, an update is required once every three weeks. please keep in mind that all of your updates must be a decent length, meaning a few well-written paragraphs in which you put forth some effort. although a warning list is posted with each set of adds, it is your job to keep track of when your updates are due. please do not post them at the last minute. special posts such as birthday posts, music mixes, etc. will not be counted as updates. also, it is perfectly acceptable to have your friends update for you every once in awhile if you don't have the time to log in and post something yourself, but two or more updates in a row is unacceptable.

placeholders and extensions will only be good for a one week period and will only be accepted if they're posted fourty-eight hours BEFORE your update is due, not the day of. also, you may only use a placeholder once every three updates.

both aim and sub-community activity are strongly encouraged. if you have not signed on to aim for seven consecutive days, you will be considered inactive and your role will be up for grabs.

we understand that life gets in the way or things come up and you may need a hiatus. when requesting a hiatus, please be sure to give us an approximate return date. indefinite hiatuses are not acceptable. also keep in mind that a hiatus means no activity whatsoever. no aim, no posting in the sub-communities, no commenting other journals, etc. if we see that you have been signed on to your screen name while on a hiatus, you will be removed. if you take a hiatus and your update deadline falls within that time, you have 48 hours to post your update after you've returned.

removals will be done every friday with the exception of overrides. placeholders and extensions will not be accepted if posted/requested on the day of removals. if you are removed and re-apply, please have your update posted before re-applying.
