FREDDIE M. MCFANN

Birth date & Age: April 9, 1977 & 31
Screen name: mcfann my arse

Biography: Freddie M. McFann was born
and raised in Manhattan, New York. His
first stories were about the Irish
gangsters in his neighborhood. The plot
of his stories changed, however, when
he turned eight. With a dead mother,
and a father MIA, Freddie was whisked
away to the Upper East Side to live
with his Aunt Charlotte, and attended
private school. His stories were no
longer those of feuds between families,
but of happy grim reapers and inanimate
objects coming to life.

Interest in television and film sparked
piles screenplays started, finished, abandoned in his room. After
graduating from school, a spec script he wrote for Star Trek: Voyager
got sold and landed a job on the writing staff, which eventually led to
becoming a co-producer on the series in its final year.

After Voyager, Freddie developed a pilot spec based on one of his old
stories about grim reapers, Dead Like Me, which was quickly snatched
up by a network. Unfortunately, it was cancelled after two seasons.
His following series, Wonderfalls, was cancelled after one season,
despite being critically acclaimed. After Wonderfalls was cancelled,
Freddie fell off the face of the media world. Two years later, he came
back with the hit show, Heroes, a great depature from the whimsical
nature of his past two creations.

His newest show, Pushing Daisies reminds critics of Freddie's older
shows with its bright colors, and light approach to death. Across the
Universe, an homage to the Beatles, was a success in the box offices,
sparking a growing public interest in what Freddie has planned next.
