"I'd like to thank you for the terrible and obnoxiously long wait. It was very mature and professional of you." ...wow. I am soooo sorry I made you bite your nails for an entire week before rejecting the application which I happen to know you wrote in twenty minutes since that's how much time elapsed between hold and submission. My reasons, let me show you them: 1. I have this thing called a life? Where sometimes things on the internets fall by the wayside for a little while because I am living it? Going to my job? Eating food? Sleeping occasionally? 2. I could have spared you the agony of 7 days by rejecting you within five minutes, yeah. But instead I spent the week re-reading your app three or four times trying my goddamndest to find something salvagable in it so as not to reject you outright with some sort of comment on the fact that your writing sucked; or failing that, to find a diplomatic way to phrase a complete rejection. Took me a while to find a way to say "This is crap, don't ask if you can revise because life's too short" without...you know, saying that. 3. No one's paying me for this, bitch, so if I come off as unprofessional, there's a chance there's a reason for that. But you know what IS mature and professional, though? Sarcastic and accusatory comments to the mod of a game you weren't accepted to. That's, like, the maturest thing there is. Look it up on wikipedia and then go fuck yourself.

| Happy November! (news) |
Hey kids! October has come to an end, it feels like I was just posting news for August and here it is, November already! First a bit of news about one of the system admins, morgan. Last week she was in a car accident, she hit a deer. Fortunately she's okay, but her car is complete toast :( That said, our backend development is going to slow down as she's only got one useable hand to type with (she broke her wrist). I personally wish her the quickest recovery and hope all goes well. She'll be taking a break from Scribbld coding for the next month or so. In other news, we had almost 100% uptime last month, there was about 15 minutes of downtime due to a small power outage. This month we're going to be running some software updates on our database server, but we'll post a date and time when we get closer to doing so. We hope you're all enjoying using Scribbld and we want to thank anyone who refers their friends, family, co-workers to our little spot on the Internet! It's very much appreciated. We hope everyone had a Happy Halloween and we hope you have a wonderful November! - Scribbld Administrators

I just...I need to say this. For everyone's good. If you are applying for a character whose concept specifies that she is a working model in New York City. Please. For the love of god. Please. Do not say that said character. Is 4'11". The industry. Is fucking. BASED ON HEIGHT. Seriously. It is the one most basic requirement of modeling. Ugly tall girls can get modeling work. Gorgeous short girls cannot. It is a fact. 5'8" is considered SHORT by industry standards. At 5'6" you are considered LUCKY if you get any work at all, and there's almost no chance you'll be walking the runways, and sustaining a modeling career when you can't book shows is nigh-impossible. If you were to walk into an agency standing at 4'11", you'd be laughed out of the damn building, I don't care what your damn face looks like. IT'S CALLED BASIC RESEARCH INTO THE MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS OF YOUR CHARACTER'S SUPPOSED CAREER. It's like having a character who dropped out of high school at 16 performing surgery. Just not going to effing happen. Incidentally, you also shouldn't take an app that has already been rejected twice, wait three months, and then resubmit it. Because like...we're not dumb. It's exactly the same. We recognize it. We still have all the objections that we did before. And now we're kind of ticked off that you think we're idiots who won't notice. I mean, for the love of god, c-p the app into a new damn post at the very least so it's not TIME-STAMPED FROM JULY. Jesus. I have gotten apps from LAMBY that have pissed me off less.

Some more of Olivia Wilde and her perfect face. Mostly as Thirteen, because besides House and Wilson and their bromance, Thirteen is my favourite part of the show. And I totally think she and House are gonna end up banging. Probably in the season finale OR during sweeps. And I'm all for it, for the record. I mean, if the writers aren't going to give in to the total subtext buttsex of it all, they might as well give House to the only person on the show more damaged than he is. And they've made it quite clear that he actually cares about her as a person, so... Uh, anyway, I like Olivia Wilde. (PS how HOT was the chick she was banging last episode? SO, that's how hot.) Rules.

Hidden deep within the myths and obstructions is real magic — the characters on whom those morals were based are still very much alive. In one form or another, anyway. After all, with humanity comes free will...
the game - cast holds resources for applying - backstory guidelines allowed tales application for members - contact list friend-all communities - in character out of character grimmemeBeth and I are on the verge of introing some major game-wide plot, so get in on the ground floor! Also, I have like 8 requests on the 'wanted character' page of the mod journal, so there's that. (Ok, it's more like 3 or 4, but still.)

The village of Ashe Cross would not seem to anyone who happened upon it to be the sort of town destined to produce more than its share of Heroes and Heroines; for while the daily cares and small dramas of a neighbourhood may seem quite epic to its inhabitants, they are bound to appear trivial to the less discerning eye, and the village in question, while picturesque in its way, appears no more romantic than any of the hundreds of villages like it to be found in the British countryside.
Still, when a neighbourhood is meant to become the scene of adventure, something will happen to throw adventure in its way.
For Ashe Cross, events have conspired to impress not one but two Most Novel Events upon the generally quiet town. The quartering of a Regiment in the neighbourhood would be enough to send the community into a tizzy on its own with the arrival of the soldiers in their red coats and the enhanced society which only Officers can impart to the local assembly. It seems quite unnecessary, then, that this momentous event should coincide with the arrival of another, if more private, set of newcomers. And yet it has, for the long empty manor known to all and sundry as Wingham Place has just been let! And not only let, but let to a handsome bachelor and his beauteous sister, rumoured to be eligible to the tune of 9,000 a year!
With happenings such as this, a good deal of excitement is in the air. How could Ashe Cross fail to be destined for greatness as the site of uncountable adventures, romances, heartbreaks and scandals in the near future?Incidentally, like 80% of the holds that were taken out have expired fruitlessly, so if you looked at it before but didn't seen an open character that you were interested in, look again!

Cindy McCain and Rudy Guiliani were in my Starbucks on Monday. Their party attempted to butt in front of the line. They did not thank anybody. On an order of 15 drinks, they did not tip. You read that correctly. Cindy McCain does not tip. In other words, don't vote for those bitches unless you want a stingy fucking billionairess as your first lady.

My father- who has a notoriously poor memory for detail and who literally can't follow a plot that's not perfectly linear to save his life- just spent the entire last half of Heroes arguing with me- I, who have a notoriously good memory for detail and who is beyond obsessive about her shows, especially Heroes- about whether it was Future Hiro who killed Ando, or Future Ando who killed Hiro. Despite the fact that there would be no way for Ando to know if Future Hiro killed him, since Ando can't time travel, AND a conversation they had at the beginning of this very episode makes no sense if it's Hiro killing Ando. A few years ago my dad bet me $50 bucks that the colour part of The Wizard of Oz started at the yellow brick road and not when they got to oz. I bought a game boy off of that shit. I couldn't get him to commit to $50 this time, but I'm gonna make $12 tomorrow when he reads the email I just sent him with like 8 links of documented proof, including someone's video-taped-off-the-screen youtube video of Future Ando killing Future Hiro. And yet I am still massively annoyed that he just didn't believe me to begin with. BECAUSE I KNOW MY HEROES, DAMN IT. God. Which is why I'm posting about it here. Although writing this has not actually made me less annoyed.

Blair. Dear. Darling. Stop trying to start a war with Serena. I know you're like the Queen of Evil Plans. But she will own you. I'm sorry, honny, and you know I love you. But Serena owns you just by existing. It's her thing. It's what she does. She owns everyone just by walking by because she's Serena. Make your peace with this and please, please stop digging your own grave here. Sigh.

You guys, I think I'm about ready to punk out on Fringe. It's entertaining and all, but...eh. It's just monster of the week shit. Which has its place, but I don't feel like it's going anywhere, I don't feel like there's a larger story being told. And that's not at all what I expected from JJ. We already had an X Files, Abrams. And weird for the sake of telling a huge story- Hello, LOST- is cool. But weird for the sake of being weird is dull and eventually grating. Sigh. I wanted so much for it to be awesome. And it's just ok.

So I finally saw The Duchess. 1. I fucking love the insanity of Georgian fashion. Fucking love that hair. 2. Hayley Atwell will never not be stunning and amazing. And the sweetness of her face means that I cannot hate her characters, ever. No matter how annoyingly betray-y they are. 3. BAD RALPH FIENNES. NO RAPING KEIRA! 4. God, that was a lot more depressing than any of the things I read about it beforehand would have led me to believe. 5. Keira Knightley can act the shit out of a period piece. But this we knew. 6. DOMINIC COOPER, I AM SICK OF YOUR FACE. STOP BEING IN EVERYTHING EVER MADE.7. ...Gratuitous lesbian scene between Keira and Hayley? One of the hottest fucking things I've ever seen. Just throwing that out there for any boys who think they have nothing to gain from a Keira Knightley Costume Drama. The end.

NOT LEAST because every single week they find a way to get Milo's shirt off of him for as long as possible. This week: Shirtless and bloody and ALL UP ON SYLAR! Which is now incest!
