So I figured I should probably update this with something other than meme bull or announcements that I thought were important at the time or something. IDK
In any case, the past couple weeks have not been so fun. :\ I've been sick for this past week, which is fabulous. D: Still not completely over it. I've still got an EPIC FREAKING COUGH. D: That and I wake up in the middle of the night with a sore throat, have a few coughing fits and then turn over and go back to sleep. I'M OBVIOUSLY HAVING THE TIME OF MY LIFE, YO.
As far as school is going, I'm not too confident. Psychology is a breeze, as always, but Chemistry and Japanese are kicking my ass. I'm not used to the new instructor in Japanese and I'm okay with that, as that's my problem, but the professor in Chemistry is a complete bitch. D: I understand not wanting to have your students playing with phones or on their laptops during class, but do you have to come off as SUCH a bitch when you ask people to put them away before you lecture? I mean, really. I can understand calling someone out if they disobey your rules in the middle of lecture, but embarrassing people before you even start? That just makes you look like a fucking bitch. At least give them a chance to put them away before you point them out. Jesus.
Work has been pissing me off lately. They've pretty much started to deny everyone of their requests to take a day off, which is not only unfair, but really annoying. I requested Sugoi Con off and they denied me that. Granted, I would be more upset if I was actually going (I'm not because I've realized with all my upcoming expenses, I can't afford it. Cameron can't take me anyway, he has a mountain of work.), but it's really down the the principle of the thing. I also realize what time of year this is, and quite frankly, I'd be willing to accept that as the reason if they hadn't been rejecting people's time off requests since FUCKING MAY.
I've heard several things, but the one I believe the most is that the people taking care of HR are fucking LAZY and don't want to change the schedule. I know they've already denied Megan her day off to GRADUATE. She says she's going to talk to them, and if they do not accommodate her she's calling Integrity. And rightly so. That's some fucking nerve to reject her request to go fucking graduate.
So, in this case, long story short I wound up giving my hours to Karen on Saturday. I might not be going to Sugoi Con this year, but I'm going to show these fuckers that I'm SERIOUS. If I ask for the day off, I'm going to fucking TAKE IT, barring a reasonable excuse as to why I can't have the day off. So far they've given me none. Next time I may not even try and find someone to take my hours. I might just call off.
On top of my bosses being inconsiderate, lazy assholes, it appears that the cleaning crew for our store (which is contracted out, surprise, surprise) hasn't shown up for the past weekend or returned any of the stores calls, leave the cashiers to do their job. First off, it's not in my goddamn job description to empty trash or clean the restrooms, and it isn't in the front manager's either. And yet, with all we have to do at the front with the rush for Halloween, it somehow magically falls on our shoulders to play janitor while the lazy bastards back in the offices sit on their asses or wander around the store and accuse us of not doing enough.
Really, I was pissed yesterday because when I came in the goddamn store was a mess, and I'm the one who had to fucking clean most of it up. Usually I wouldn't give a shit if I had to remove the trashbags and whatnot, but since I'm sick I'm fairly certain that sticking my hand into something WET in the trashcans sans some kind of rubber gloves is a bad idea. And all because Pedro can't fucking be arsed to show up and do his goddamn job. Part of me wonders if they all just took the equipment they still have from the store, sold it, and then ran the fuck off with the money. :|
THEN, I find a certain someone didn't reorder some receipt tape, leaving us with HALF A ROLL LEFT of tape. When one of my managers asked the certain person responsible for doing the ordering the fucker said "Well I looked two weeks ago, and it was fine!"
UH, THAT WAS TWO WEEKS AGO, JACKASS. THIS SHIT DOES GET USED, YOU KNOW.
I think it's pretty obvious that I was ecstatic about work yesterday. They asked me to stay late and all I did was laugh, and then clock out when 3:00 rolled around. :|
If they aren't careful they may have one less cashier come Black Friday. And I don't mean I'm putting my two weeks in, if you know what I'm saying.
Anyway, I gotta run. I need to get into the shower so I can be ready to go off to class.
