I don't know about you all, but these months are FLYING by, it's ridiculous! I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving, and for those of you that don't celebrate it, I hope you had a lovely November!

Not to much happened on the developement side of Scribbld this month, but our systems administrator/developer ([info]morgan) is feeling a whole lot better. She would like to thank everyone who sent her well wishes! It's much appreciated!!

That said, we're going to attempt to work on a few new features mentioned in [info]scribbldsuggest. Not sure which one's we'll be tackling right away, but we'll figure something out!

We're also in the process of hooking up with a decent ad network, which we like and hope you will too, we definitely WILL NOT be putting ads on journals, but we'll keep them on the main site instead.

Also, calling ALL web designers and developers, we're looking for more site schemes! We're giving away paid and maybe even permanent accounts for site designs! So if you like doing that sort of thing, show us your stuff!! It must be in code (no PSDs) and should be unique! Feel free to send either [info]jimmy or [info]morgan and PM on the site with your stuff or any questions you might have :)

Hi everyone,

I thought I would send a quick note to this community, I am definitely looking for some friends. Even though I spend most of my time working on the back-end of the site I would like to get more in touch with the users! Hey all.

So, I'm pretty new to this site, and was hoping to make some friends so that I don't look like a creepshow just stalking communities, haha. Oh yeah, and I guess that thing called "meeting new people" is all right, too. ;D

Anyway, I'm female, 23, and Canadian. Alias-wise, I go by "Gai", as a female derivation of Guy Cecil's name -- Gailardia. I love my country, music, sports, and dabble in the occasional video game. My favourites are Tales of the Abyss (WHO WOULDA GUESSED?), Tales of Symphonia, Okami (shit was great) and I freaking loved the Starfox series, I don't care what anyone says! Sonic was all right too, if we're going all nostalgic. And you gotta love the old-school Mario games! Mario 2 & 3 FOR THE FUCKING WIN. I'm all right with the Final Fantasy series, but I feel like it's pretty over-rated these days, so I won't go naming the good and bad of it.

I'm sometimes vulgar, sometimes sickeningly sweet, always honest, and love a good laugh. Oh yeah, I'm also TERRIBLY sarcastic.

So, uh, nice to meet you? Heh.

Hey kids!

October has come to an end, it feels like I was just posting news for August and here it is, November already!

First a bit of news about one of the system admins, [info]morgan. Last week she was in a car accident, she hit a deer. Fortunately she's okay, but her car is complete toast :( That said, our backend development is going to slow down as she's only got one useable hand to type with (she broke her wrist). I personally wish her the quickest recovery and hope all goes well. She'll be taking a break from Scribbld coding for the next month or so.

In other news, we had almost 100% uptime last month, there was about 15 minutes of downtime due to a small power outage. This month we're going to be running some software updates on our database server, but we'll post a date and time when we get closer to doing so.

We hope you're all enjoying using Scribbld and we want to thank anyone who refers their friends, family, co-workers to our little spot on the Internet! It's very much appreciated. We hope everyone had a Happy Halloween and we hope you have a wonderful November!

i love music with my whole soul, film, mythology, science...
pretty much anything that can hold my attention.
yes, i enjoy school.
i'm more into the intellect than into partying, etc.
some people think that makes me more interesting,
some people think that makes me strange :p
