Today we lost power and all but the main database server came back up. After investigating we found out the the disk drives had gotten corrupted. We fixed them as best as we can but we'll be needing to purchase at least 2 new drives and very soon.

Greetings users!
We're currently experiencing some mail server issues. Apparently something got into the system and is sending a massive amount of emails, and our ISP has closed down the port to the system. We're currently looking into the issue. At this time you may notice a delay in comment notifications and other emails!!

Hey all, we'll be pulling the database server offline this coming Monday for approximately an hour to run some software updates on the system. I shouldn't expect it to take the full hour, but better to allocate the extra time just incase!
The update will start at 9am and run until 10am EST.

| 09:46 am - Paid Account Changes
We've made some changes to the paid account structure. In order for people to purchase Extras (extra user pics) you'll need to have a paid account. We recommend that people purchase a year long paid account if you're going to get the extra user pics since they run for a year. If you were to purchase a 3 month paid account and 100 extra user pics, they would only be good for 3 months as they're only valid while you have an active paid account.
This change also means that instead of gaining 25 userpics (from the normal 75 paid to 100 total), you'll gain 100 or 200 (for upto 175 or 275 userpics).

I hate this place already.
It's full of foolish fools who foolishly waste their lives with their foolish actions and it's because of those foolish actions that I am stuck amongst a sea of foolishly-fooled fools who foolishly get in my way!
It's all my younger brother's fault! If he hadn't been such a fool and angered Papa, then I would be sitting at the manor in the study, sipping hot cocoa while reading Bertolt Brecht. But no! He had to foolishly wave his fingers about and get himself in unnecessary trouble and anger Papa.
... And well, Papa does not wish to discuss things in a reasonable fashion when he's angered ...
Oh, and the foolish administration of this foolishly lackluster academy dares to think the famous Franziska von Karma will share a room? As if! Do they have no idea who I am?! Und wenn mein gewählter zimmergenosse gerade über jungen und das bekommen in ihren Hhosen sprechen mag?!

This is yet again your mod who is constantly too lazy to log in and out of journals. I was going to let you know that the friend adding thing had been updated with a lot since it's first posting so maybe those of you who have been a little slack in adding better just hit it up really quick. You can find that here.
Now I've noticed that no one dropped by to complain about the little theme we decided to go with for this school. I'm pleased :D I was wondering though if you would all mind dropping a comment here and telling us what your character(s) have been sent to this school for. Be it bad grades, got into too many fights, urinating in public. Just post it in a comment in here as this question is going to be added for future applications now.

Hello, dear players. It has come to my attention from a player turned co-mod [welcome juuhachigou, as well as babylon] that I, as a mod, did not clearly explain exactly what the journals and the community. So, I'd just like to run a few things by you guys, explain and give some ideas to see if we can make our RP the best ever!
° The journals themselves can be kept more as a day to day journal, much like how you guys use your Scribbld journals. They're to record thoughts, personal expierences. You are free to put up something noting it being private or you can open it up to comments to interact with other students and teachers. So, feel free to rant, gush, anything your character feels in these personal journals.
° The community, ![[info]](http://www.scribbld.net/img/community.gif) songoacademy, is to be used to post threads. We've seen this done by puurto and how she's doing it is exactly right! Posting an opening of a thread allows the students to interact outside of their comfort zone, their journal. The community can also be used to store RP logs from AIM/MSN role-playing. I'll be posting up a form on the userinfo on what should be posted when logs are started/RP logs are posted.
° The ooc community, songoacademyooc, is for things like this, mod needing to tell you guys something, it's used for hiatus notes. If you guys are going on vacations or something along those lines and you'll be gone, please post something tell us so. The community is also for introductions. If you'd like to post a little blurb, something like, "Hey! My name is ____ and I'm playing ____ from ____ and I look forward to playing with you guys!" This is not mandatory, but if you want, go nuts. ♥
° I cannot stress this enough. Please add your fellow students and teachers to your character's journal so you can read their journals and interact and them to you. Most of you, including myself, keep the journals friends only to keep our trolls and what's not...that's fine, however if you do not add everyone back, they cannot play. Players who are eager to comment to your character can't because they do not have access to your entries. juuhachigou has set up a wonderful way for you guys to easily add everyone...so, please, I beg you guys...make sure you have everyone added. juuhachigou and myself will do our best to keep you updated on if anyone new joins so you know who to add.
° A question for you guys...would you guys like an added stipulation to the role play? Something like a school for the behaviorly challenged, a school of psychics...something like that? I'm a bit stumped so juuhachigou had suggested I ask you guys would you thought. So, if you guys have any ideas/suggestions, please comment here and let me know whatcha think! I've seen mobsters, pirates, magicians, and quite a bit more out there...what kind of game would you like to play?
I believe that's it. If you guys have any concerns, you're always free to talk to me, IM me, whatever you guys want. So, let's make this school the number one school! :)

I hope I'm not over stepping any bounds by doing this, but I figured I'd point it out since I was the one who made the friend everyone thing anyway. Since posting that we've had two more journals join. So make sure you add shin_ramyun and mikan if you haven't already. It's helpful since most posts appear to be friend's only anyway.
Edit: Just noticing now two more. (:x *needs to work out a system to see the new adds*) kurosu and bancoran I added them to the add all list too.

Secondly, I haven't seen a lot of activity and Vi mentioned to me...we do have a lot of male characters, so I'm opening up character limits to from 5 to 8...so maybe we can get some females in here. I know I'll be signing up as a girl very soon. :D

Since, for most of you, the mere act of breathing can become a difficult and time consuming task I've come to provide you with a quick and simple method to add all of the academy's students and teachers to your "friends" list.
Pay close attention because I'm only going to say this once. After that you're on your own. After logging into your journal please click the link provided for you here:Admin Console Below the cut is the list that you will need to copy and paste into the little white box.
After you paste this into the box you only now need to hit the execute button. Now everyone in the school is your friend, or at least acquainted with you. If you have any questions about this, don't ask. It will only make you look stupid.
(( :) Just kidding. If you have any questions about this go ahead and ask. Hopefully this works out to be a quick and easy way to add people as the join the community.

This morning and into this evening we experienced some unscheduled downtime. At this time we belive some network cables went bad, and have since replaced and reboot the systems to make sure everything was running properly. We'll continue to closely monitor the network over the next few hours to make sure it's nothing else that caused the issue.
