Happy New Year!!
Hey everyone! We've got another year upon us. I hope we all make the best of it! We here at Scribbld would like to thank each and every one of you for making 2008 an awesome year!!
We'll be trying hard to get some of requests built into the Scribbld code base. We're going to start thinking about moving to bigger and better servers (should funds permit) and if not purchasing some items that will make Scribbld more stable.

[DOWNTIME] Dtabase Server Issues
Today we lost power and all but the main database server came back up. After investigating we found out the the disk drives had gotten corrupted. We fixed them as best as we can but we'll be needing to purchase at least 2 new drives and very soon.

Dean Winchester Withdrawal: Day One
As you may have gathered, I recently undertook to watch the entire series of Supernatural, ie, every episode so far (that being up to season four, episode ten.) I watched about the first half of the first season when it was originally aired, but I wasn't very impressed and gave up on it after the one with their mom [ep 1.12, Home, which I only know 'cos I just looked it up because I'm anal about things like that.] (Having watched it all now, I'm unsurprised I gave up at that point- I almost did again, because the show really is pretty lame for most of the first season, and it definitely doesn't hit it's stride until AFTER that episode, when Dad really shows up. So if I'd held out for like another ep or two..but I'd given it twelve already, and I was a college freshman with, like, drinking to do, so whatever. I only watched as far as I did because of my long-term love affair with The Ackles, which started when he was the ex-alkie on Dawson's Fucking Creek, so he's totally mine, bitches.) But I have friends who adore it and I'd heard good things so I gave it another shot.
I finished yesterday. And sobbed like a baby several times, not the least at 4.10, because...Dean. In fact, it's always because of Dean, with whom I am in love in a way I have not been in love with a fictional character since Sirius (and I only came to love Sirius this way AFTER writing him, so my rabid!Deanlove is a bit weird since he's like...not in my head. IDK.)
I'm only mentioning this because it's now been over 24 hours since I had an infusion of Deanlolz. And I just had to go look him up on youtube (!!! And yes, I realize that's technically Jensen, not Dean, but !!! HE PLAYS AIR GUITAR USING HIS THIGH, I LOVE HIM.)
I am not sure how I am going to make it to January 29th, is what I'm saying THAT IS OVER A MONTH OMG. Somebody send help. Or get me into a program. Or something.

Hellllllooooo December!
I don't know about you all, but these months are FLYING by, it's ridiculous! I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving, and for those of you that don't celebrate it, I hope you had a lovely November!
Not to much happened on the developement side of Scribbld this month, but our systems administrator/developer (morgan) is feeling a whole lot better. She would like to thank everyone who sent her well wishes! It's much appreciated!!
That said, we're going to attempt to work on a few new features mentioned in ![[info]](http://www.scribbld.net/img/community.gif) scribbldsuggest. Not sure which one's we'll be tackling right away, but we'll figure something out!
We're also in the process of hooking up with a decent ad network, which we like and hope you will too, we definitely WILL NOT be putting ads on journals, but we'll keep them on the main site instead.
Also, calling ALL web designers and developers, we're looking for more site schemes! We're giving away paid and maybe even permanent accounts for site designs! So if you like doing that sort of thing, show us your stuff!! It must be in code (no PSDs) and should be unique! Feel free to send either jimmy or morgan and PM on the site with your stuff or any questions you might have :)
