Busy Busy Busy!!
This week went by so quickly. I feel like I just got out of the SF & DGD show last Saturday. Been really busy at work as usual. I haven't been doing much consulting at all lately. I might have an appointment on Monday, but who knows, depends on whether or not I feel like it I guess. I've been sick, I think I caught it from a certain someone, blech! Oh well, I think I am actually starting to feel better, it feels like it's just in my head now. Nothing that some medicine and tea can't fix.

I've got a bunch of new games, so I've got to update the master list. I am thinking about just ex-ing off a bunch that I know I will never touch again. I played some Crisis Core this morning, was fun. I really do like that game, I actually might boot it back up once I finish this entry. So [info]emilie is going to be gone for pretty much all of the next week which means I'll be alone here at the apartment all week! I don't know if I'll be able to figure out what to do!

I almost bought the WALL-E DVD today, but then I figured if I am actually going to buy a movie that it might as well as be on Blu-ray. Especially a movie like that.

Been talking to this guy ([info]raf ) who does a bunch of Scribbld's CSS, he's really cool. He became friends with [info]morgan  and then I met him through her. Definitely a geek genius! Poor Morgan has been going through a lot lately, but I won't go into to much detail, I'll let her tell her own story if she wishes.

I'm really enjoying this backlit keyboard, I'm sitting here with music playing on AppleTV in the dark working on various computer projects and I can see my keyboard perfectly fine. I think it would be really cool to pull it apart and replace the white lights with red or something, might even make it better on the eyes in the dark.

A lot of kids (okay 3 but in like the span of 2 weeks) having been dying at the University, it's definitely a little sketchy and it sucks. I don't/didn't know of any of them personally. Also my friends boyfriends brother died this past week so that was definitely not fun. I believe he was a grade above me in high school, I didn't really know him, or was friends with him, but it's pretty close to me...not sure I have much else to say about that subject.

I played some Resistance this afternoon. Definitely a fun game and it's just got a really good amount of difficulty to it, where I can stand it and it's not too easy and not too hard. Really well done, I definitely want to get the 2nd game.

I am really digging the NXE. Morgan and I share an account so it kind of sucks we can't have 2 avatars/characters, but that's understandable, you're not really supposed to be sharing an account, but considering I log in every other week or something it made sense for us haha That and she had been working on a game back when we first got Xbox and she didn't create her own account or forgot to log into the one she created so now she doesn't want to loose those gamer points she accumulated haha. Go figure...now my character is some blonde haired chick...

I haven't really talked to [info]makkintosshu or Keith in a few weeks, it kind of sucks, but it just goes to show you how crazy busy we all are. I haven't even played GoW2 with either of them, suck!

Tonight, I think Emilie and I are going to watch The Dark Knight and maybe WALL-E...maybe some BECK too. It's rather cold here, it started snowing like crazy today! Anyways, I think I'll jump into Crisis Core and attempt to figure out why PSP doesn't support WPA2 as an 802.11x encryption protocol...grrr....!

Busy Weekend
Wow, time is really flying. I am definitely not a fan of it either. I remember back in grade school where the days would just drag on forever and I would always wish for them to go so much faster, terrible idea! Now I barely have time to do anything and the days are really zipping by. I mean I feel like it was just spring and now it's already mid-fall. It sucks.

Anyways, I finally went riding the other night. I plan on going tonight again today. I definitely had a good time. I love being up there on the top of a horse. It's magical.

Yesterday was the horse "stuff" auction. I ended up getting 2 blankets, a pair of gloves, a brush and some lead ropes. [info]emilie and I were going to buy 2 helmets but some lady bid $55 and we bid $50...so instead of them making $100 they made $55 haha, tards. Got to see the horse too so that was nice, picked a bunch of burs out of his tail...

I played some COD4 yesterday also, fun times, although I got pissed and ended up leaving in the middle of one game. I did rather well in my other games though. I've got to get back into playing some single player games, like I should finish up Star Fox...and move onto the next game in my huge ass list. I do need to add some new games to that list also.

Not much going on today, just finishing up some things, doing some stuff around the apartment. Might have a possible consulting call to go out on, but not 100% sure. Looks like it's going to be a pretty easy day, which I hope it is :)

I would like to try to start playing a character on our World of Warcraft server. I still really haven't found time to do that yet :) I'll probably go Blood Elf so [info]emilie and I can play together.

Douches?!
Well yesterday I had some consulting in the morning, it was for Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, great place, great people. Unfortunately, the guy had some corrupt software so we ended up backing up his data and doing a re-install. Then I went to the Post Office and so many people were wondering about the iMac I was shipping off. They were amazed that there was no big tower and it was all right there in the monitor. I love it. Then I found out you can use your own pictures to make stamps which I thought was really cool. I think I might make some with Nippet, it'd be cool.

Then I called Jaime, one of the shipping guys at Small Dog since we're buds and I asked if I could just ship it through him since he's got access to WorldShip UPS software, so he can pretty much ship anything via UPS, and they're pretty much a drop off point anyways. He was totally cool with it and it saved me from having to drive up to the UPS Store in Stowe AND I was going to be at Small Dog anyways cause I had Daniel put aside some nice Klipsch speakers for me, so it would have worked out great. So after getting some lunch or something, I drove there and when I got there Jaime said I couldn't ship it there, that someone had told him not to allow me too. Now I won't name names, but this person has been kind of a douche bag on more then one occasion when I did work there. I mean seriously...why are you such an asshole, give it a break and stop licking the nut sacks of the CEO and CFO, it's lame. But whatever, I didn't want to get Jaime in trouble, he even agreed with me, so we left it at that. On the bright-side I spent more money with these asshats but I did get a nice pair of speakers and I did get to chat with Daniel and Eric, great people.

Didn't really do much last night, just hung out, I did was The Forbidden Kingdom. I enjoyed most of it, mostly because it was awesome to see Jet Li and Jackie Chan together. I do love them, I love watching Jet Li's stuff, I want to get all of it, and Jackie's. I thought it was cool how they had him doing drunken boxing which was in Legend of Drunken Master hehe

Being that I didn't get to ship what I needed shipped yesterday I took care of it this morning. I ordered the wrong name tapes again haha I got 3" tapes instead of 5" so I re-ordered them again. Craig should be shipping my gun out today or tomorrow, apparently the motor was to high so it was fixed and hopefully it's all good now. I can't wait to get that back.

I finally beat Resident Evil 1...only ~10 years after it came out. AWESOME GAME! I absolutely love the RE series. Star Fox Adventures is next on the list, I hope that's a quick on LOL. My Mom called today, she and Dad are in Ireland having fun. I talked to [info]emilie this evening. I think we're going to go out to dinner at Koto when she returns from PA.

Tomorrow, I plan on working both the horses, hopefully outdoors if it's nice. [info]makkintosshu and I might go out for lunch or something. Him, Keith and I played like 2 hours of COD4 tonight, definitely had a fun time. I am getting really addicted to using that G36c with the grenade launcher attachment. I am now level 46...woohooo!

Hope everyone had a nice day and have a lovely Thursday!

Bang!
Yesterday I went up to Underhill back to that guys house and we played some airsoft games. When I got there, which was late, no one was there. We decided to shoot each other with pistols, definitely fun :) That lasted about 15-20 minutes until finally some people came. So we did 2v2 which pretty much sucked but I got a kill so it was okay. Then another guy came so it was 3v2 which definitely sucked too but it was fun...I really only got like 2-3 games in, then it was lunch time and then I left. Met up with [info]emilie at the Richmond park and ride and we drove up to Burlington. She had to hit up Victoria's Secret and I perused the Game Stop store. Nothing interesting though. I can pretty much pirate anything for all the systems I've got and nothing that I would buy has come out yet. So after shopping we got some ice cream, definitely hit the spot. After that we drove home and I went to work at the barn, Emilie came along and hung out. The cat at the barn had some kittens, we're thinking about getting one, but before that happens, we're going to see how much it's going to cost to get the cat fixed...

Didn't really do much on Sunday night, Emilie fell asleep really early, I did wake her up around 9:30pm but she was so tired so I let her sleep. I came in around 10:30 and just passed out next to her.

Work up kinda early this morning...didn't do much. Emilie made us a nice breakfast, and then she basically hit the road. For the next 5 days or so I'll be holding down the fort. I played some Resident Evil this afternoon. I am only 20 pages away from completing the game. I bet I can complete it this week. Really great game! After playing for an hour or so, I headed out to the barn. Got my chores done pretty quickly, and came home. Didn't really do much else, David called me around 5:30 and I took a shower and went to his place. We played some Army of Two, then some Halo 3 and then finished up with Call of Duty 4. He's (rather his parents) got a 60" Sony WEGA TV, and it was definitely really nice playing on there, even with split-screen, I still had ~30 inches to myself :D Hah

Chatted with Emilie tonight via iChat, just watching some Lockup TV show. Kinda lame, but it's the only thing on. I've had enough of Deadliest Catch for the moment. I was watching some show about this scout sniper Marine, it was really good. MSNBC isn't to bad.

I think I'm off to get some food and pass-out in a bit. I hope everyone had a good Memorial Day and remembered those who've died for the freedom of our country. Have a lovely week kids <3

Consulting & DNS Issues
Hey all,

It's very possible that it slipped my mind to post in [info]system about me removing scribbld2 from the server rotation as it had some bad hardware. In the near future I'll be replacing the hard. I've been monitoring the server logs and graphs over the last month or so and it shouldn't make that much of a difference, even during peak usage times. At least I am hoping so! There's one thing that apparently didn't get done and it was to remove BOTH scirbbld2 entries from the DNS records, so at times people would try to connect to it, and it would go very slowly if at all. I do apologize for that, this morning I've been able to surf the site and it's been much zippier now that the DNS entry has been removed. I do hope the same goes for you, feedback welcome!

In other news, it snowed a little bit on the way to my consulting job the other day...not cool, too cold!! The job was really easy, mostly just going over some questions and some documentation. Then I had a few call backs, I did get paid yesterday which was great! Then I stopped at Small Dog, picked up an AppleTV 160GB for my consulting job in NH next week. Also stopped at my parents house and picked up the stuff Craig shipped up (another magazine for my assault rifle, an unjamming rod and the RIS slides). For some reason Apple sent me another APP certificate along with a pin, dunno why haha

So I basically hacked apart the AppleTV in an effort to remove the airport card, thus completely disabling the WiFi in the unit. Very very simple to do, they're really easy to ope. You just have to make sure you CAREFULLY remove the rubber bottom, or you'll destroy it. But yeah, got that done, and let the guy know that it was definitely doable.

Played some more GTAIV, it's a lot of fun, I love how real it's getting to be, I did a couple missions, and then I messed around and pissed off the cops :) Also played some Call of Duty 4, did pretty good, getting closer to level 44 haha I believe I've got the Desert Eagle unlocked, so I've got to upgrade my classes to use that instead.

Read some more of my Zombie Surival book last night, getting into what weapons are good and which sucks, apparently SMGs, and assault rifles are no good, but bolt lever rifles are...and .22s suck haha

So today, I'm helping Keith move 21 bags of mulch, will have to borrow [info]emilie's truck to get the job done, but it'll be cool. Then I am going to pull apart the 160GB AppleTV I got yesterday (I pulled apart my own yesterday) and do it up, save time for onsite stuff. but that's about all I have to do today, I am getting my stuff from AirsoftGI from UPS< should be here shortly, another Classic Army MA15A4, some BBs, helmet, charger, batteries and a couple of other things...I am pissed it took so long, I ordered on the 22nd of April and it's just getting here now, although that's about a week, I wanted it sooner!

Oh yeh, I finally got my PSP hacked! I just played Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, which I haven't played since umm, maybe 1999 hahah or whenever it came out. I love that game so much, it brings back some crazy memories! I also got a bunch of other games on there, and they seem to work, except Driver, but I'll figure that out! Mad thanks to PSPCrazy and [info]confining.

Alright, over and out! Have a nice day everyone!

Haxxx!
So with the help of Scribbld user [info]confining I'll be pimping out my Sony PSP so that I can play some uuuh games. Hopefully it's pretty easy, I've got all the hardware I should need, I will grab a 4GB Memory Stick Duo from Best Buy today and if they don't have any for a good price I'll just hit up NewEgg again.

I beat some more missions in Crisis Core, definitely a lot of fun. Level 20 now and I tried out that materia fusion. Really cool, I got some really cool materia out of it. I'm still in the church since I've been doing all these missions.

Played some CoD4 this morning/afternoon, did pretty well although not as well as I'd like to have done. I can't wait until Tuesday when Morgan, Keith and I play. Not sure if I mentioned this, but [info]makkintosshu and I finally beat Halo 3 last Wednesday. What a great game that was...it totally makes your head start thinking about what's going to happen...but I guess it'll all up to the imagination since that's the final game in the Halo series.

I've been meaning to pick up Resident Evil again but I always find myself working on leveling up in CoD4 or working on Crisis Core...I'll get back into eventually though!

Today [info]emilie and I are heading up to Burlington to drop off her truck, and then we're going to the book store, I wanna see if they have a new issue of Anime Insider. Then we're going to work at the barn and then to my parents for dinner...not sure what we're doing tonight, probably just relaxing and watching a movie.

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

Eeeesh...
Holy crap what a day. Hopefully some of the dust has settled! So let's get back to the normal...

I worked on the Vermont Ice Cream Company website this afternoon. I finally am getting to the point where I am adding some meat into the website. I'll be adding some photos tomorrow and probably more copy. I think I am going to try to use billable or one of the online solutions [info]makkintosshu pointed out to me. We also finalized the name for his new project, as I said before I'll discuss it more in a later post.

[info]emilie and I went food shopping this afternoon. Got lots of good food! We were going to make this really nice quiche for dinner, but we got sidetracked with something else, so I haven't had dinner yet. I might just make something simple like breakfast for dinner, or who knows...I got my tea going and it's great!

I just wanted to make a quick post...I'm off to play Call of Duty for with my buddies, please join us if you have Xbox Live - my gamertag is vtequine!!

Oh yeah, I'm definitely looking for a few new good friends. I love to comment on peoples stuff and I love people commenting on mine! So comment if you wanna be buddies!

Take care all!

Code-athon
Well for the last 2 weeks I've been working my ass off validating almost 3,000 (2,996 or something to be exact...) products and other various (X)HTML pages. It's a goddamn god thing we got bonuses this month or I would have flipped out and killed someone. Fortunately all of the products are done and there's only a few static HTML pages left to do.

Besides that I've been playing a lot of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare with my friends. Unfortunately one of my friends Xboxs got the red rings which I experienced myself just the month before, so needless to say he's offline for the time being.

I've also started playing skate which is a really great game. There are a few times when I'm really hurting for the controls of Tony Hawk though. The control scheme is entirely different then I am used to for skateboarding games so it does take a bit of getting used too. It sure is a fun game though.

I did managed to get my hands on Crysis and the PC version of Gears of War, so I can't wait to try those out. Still working on getting Assassins Creed. I tried to play some Portal this evening, but I didn't really get how it worked right away so I just shut it off and logged into COD4.

Now that I've updated to Leopard, I have a good monitoring system in place and my Warcraft server is just chugging along nicely I really want to spend time with my friends, girlfriend and get into digital photography and just play games. I'll let the systems run themselves, and I'll just use them as I see fit, no more adding or tweaking. I am hoping everything is just using the things I've setup and created for myself!

I updated the software on my photography website, now you can see EXIF data and stuff, way cool! :)

Anyways, I should probably get some sleep seeing as it's like ~12AM.

Call of Duty 4
Yesterday I had a consulting appointment which went quite well. It was my first appointment in about a year. I am kinda sad that I took my current job, but with all the mish-mash going on with the new South Burlington store and all it felt like it was the only option for me so that I didn't get lost in all the chaos. I would much have rathered to have stayed as a consultant, but between the new store and Berkey leaving it just didn't seem like the best idea at the time. Anyways, the job was simple, a basic white glove with data transfer.

It was going quite well until we have to install the AOL software and get that working. Something that was supposed to take me 1-2 hours took about 3 to 3.5 which was terrible. Oh well, more $$$ for me.

After that I went to the S. Burlington store and just hung out, but then I talked to [info]makkintosshu and I went to his house. I had 2 hours to kill before I had class. I wasn't going to drive back home and then back up to class.

So we played my brand spankin' new copy of Call of Duty 4. Him, Keith and I had been in the beta and we had an absolute blast. We played some of the new maps which I enjoyed.

Class was eh, nothing special. I found out that my professor and I have had quite the experience and fun times with OSCommerce. Horrid software, but it seems to get the job done...

After class, I came home and played some COD4, got myself to level 5.

Today, I had to work my normal job. I mostly continued working on making sure all the product code was validated. Something I am being completely underpaid to do which is sorta shitty. I managed to get out around 3:30 with a new server in hand.

I am going to sell my Xserve G4 and replace it with a Core 2 Duo 1.83GHz Mac mini. I think that's more then enough power for the stuff that server does. That and it's even more powerful then the Xserve. I did get another little external drive to mirror the OS on...I will use my other 2 FW400 drives to make another mirror for the FTP dump, and Uma will stay as it is, except I'll make it use USB2 and not FW800 (which kinda sucks, but it works...).

So I did setup the Mac mini so hopefully all I should have to do is plug it in and change some IPs, make sure DNS is updated, import mail, SQL databases and rsync over home directories. It'll be running on Mac OS X Leopard Server 10.5. It's really a wonderful piece of software, Beautifully crafted and VERY easy to use. I had wanted to do a standard setup but I can't because I can't do much customization and what I need to do (multiple short names, firewall, etc...) isn't available in either the Standard or Workgroup configurations. So that's all ready to be set live!

I played a shit ton of Call of Duty tonight with Keith and Greg. I do hope Morgan picks up the game cause it's a really lot of fun!! I am now a level 18 or 19, can't quite remember. There's this one really cool perk that makes your grenades fall out when you die and blow up, usually killing the other person.

I'll be bringing my xBox 360 with me this weekend, and I'll play through single player mode in COD4, and I'll bring my CSI game and maybe a couple others.

Alright, I need sleep. Peace.
