Twelve+ years wasn't a bad run for a free service, I suppose.

At any rate, just as a priority to myself, this means:
1. I'll need to upload a few fics to BSMFN archive.
2. I want to finish up SDKLR's Prolific section.
3. I'll be choosing another Geocities site to recreate for my summer project. It will probably be another fic archive (I have one in mind, actually) if it hasn't already been moved elsewhere.

In fanfiction news, I've been patiently tracking down Geocities DK sites for whenever Geocities dies. I haven't figured out what to do quite yet but I do have a LOT of history saved. My goodness. The things we'll lose when Geocities dies is staggering.

With the news Geocities is on its last legs and closing down later this year, I've gone into "fiction rescue mode" again. Pretty much if I've linked to your site here and it's on Geocities, I harvested your content. If I can't find it online after Geocities goes boom, expect it to be hosted on lethesbanks.

This's Nothing!

Sardonyx is best remembered for her quirky writing style in the DK portion of fandom. I was lucky enough to find all her writings, and am now hosting them on my site. The site may look a little different from what you last remember, but I promise the content is the same.

+Gradient is one of the better SM writers to be discovered, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the site was still alive. You won't go wrong with any of them. Most fics are set around the S timeline; Saturn is a favorite topic.

With a lot of patience and perseverance, I have uncovered the majority of the work from the SDKLR. I am hosting Soylent Green's fics here. Her fanart is coming soon as well.

As you may recall, she had a fairly large selection of high quality submitted fanfics as well. Those were rescued earlier and can be found here, at another DK old-timer's site. I think I've rescued a few more than this from oblivion, so I'll add those when/if I get the time and inclination.

All this has been done sans permission from the artist formerly known as Soylent Green, so as much as it pains me (given that I've been dying for some SDKLR since geocities ate the site in 2003/2004,) if she comes knocking I will remove it. With a lot of teeth-gnashing. And wailing. And some wally-wallys, too.
