Family breakfast went well. I tried to make the best food choices I could and still enjoy myself. I'm still not very hungry, although I ate a light lunch. Thinking of picking up dinner and just saving mine until I'm hungry.

Katie just called and she's close in train stations, so Roy is off to wait for her. Then to Lowe's for a screen door.

We test drove a 2008 Chevy Malibu. I HATE the dashboard. Seriously, I'm picky about details. Each gauge was enclosed in a chrome-edged cylinder, and the curve of the center cylinder extended out to interfere with the two shorter, smaller cylinders surrounding the other two gauges. I couldn't get a straight sight line on all three at once, the chrome edging reflected every movement and light and was distracting as I thought the panel was trying to tell me something, and from the passenger seat, I couldn't read the speedometer past 40mph. We have a kid to teach to drive in three years. I gotta be able to see that stuff.

So, no. Looked at various other makes and models but didn't find anything today. Did get to sit in another Mini Cooper, and saw a red one with a white roof and no racing stripes on the hood. See, I figure I could custom order magnetic strips and make the stripe down the side like the Torino. *G* It's not a permanent paint job that way. *I'm crazy!* I actually think I'd like it better if it were a dark blue car with the stripe, heh.

enednoviel is killing me with her art. Gah. Must write now.

Watched Enchanted for the first time. We were trying to explain the word "cliche" to Katie yesterday, and hell, this film explained it best! :D Loved it, was very cute and fun, and it was especially nice when Katie started identifying all the cliches herself. Yay, object lesson!

And I just did more on my story. *yay*

I'm so tired. I didn't fall asleep until around 2am, I think. Was up at six to get Katie off to writer's conference. *yawn*
