Overwhelmed with the Ordinary

*moan* @ 04:57 pm

Current Mood: Needy-like

Sinus headache from hell. Changing weather patterns, methings. Going to be nice today. Have party to attend. Am applying coffee, Motrin and Sudafed to afflicted area in hopes it will GO THE FUCK AWAY.

Heh. Lynn Anderson guest starred on an episode of S&H once, and this morning on "Legends and Outlaws" on a radio station, they played her "I Never Promised You a Rose Garden." What's crazy is that I kept thinking she seemed familiar but couldn't decide why. It was that song. *shakes head* Damn, that was a long time ago.

Oops. Helps if I post. The above was from this morning. Am now back from anniversary party, where I missed Roy and Karl severely and caught up with cousins I hadn't laid eyes on in years.

My cousin Susie and I are nine months apart , so her 40th is coming in October. Her oldest and my oldest are the same age and grade, and I swear, same personality. Her youngest and my youngest are a year apart and played together the entire time.

In news in the realm of "you can't make this shit up", I spotted someone at the party that I recognized but it took me a little while to figure out why - I graduated high school with her! So I caught up with her to ask how she came to be here - she's my aunt's niece. Her mother is my aunt's sister! I come from the uncle's side - his sister is my mother. So, we've declared ourselves cousins by marriage and cracked up over knowing each other all this time and never knowing we were *related* by marriage. Trippy, huh? Gave her one of my cards and put my home email addy on it, and turns out, she uses BabyCenter.com all the time. Too WILD. I'm cracking up.

At any rate, Karl's game went on longer than expected so they missed the party wholesale. I would have really rather stayed home, except for the catching up with the cousins and discovering *new* ones part, lol.

Maybe I can get some writing done. It's gorgeous outside - sunny and 70 (21), and the headache did go away.

Oh, interviews... @ 05:51 pm

Watching a very recent interview on Irish tv - they were in Dublin - with David Soul and Jerry Hall who are/were doing a play together. (You can get the links here: http://community.livejournal.com/starsky_hutch/695280.html )

David just told us he was there when Bobby Kennedy was killed, had worked on both Kennedy campaigns (JFK and RFK), and said that Barack Obama is the most like them, with regards to inspiring the young people of today.

Jerry's voting for Hillary, lol.

David says Paul continues to be his closest, best friend. *sighs* He talks about the movie he and Paul are working on together, how Paul is rewriting the original screenplay to bring it up to date, as well as directing it. Shades of the show, eh?

I'm noticing @ 10:07 pm

Current Mood: grateful

that there's more and more cross-pollination of my fandoms WRT my flist.

This makes me unspeakably happy. I'm in the creamy center of a lovely chocolate candy of people.

*glee*

*wipes tears o' happy*
