True Reflections

Overwhelmed with the Ordinary

Am feeling queasy today @ 07:46 am

Current Mood: queasy

Not full blown nausea, but queasy. Bleah.

Again, not pregnant. Vasectomies done nearly eight years ago preclude that. :P I only cheat on him in my dreams. LOL

I think I'll drag the lap top to bed and play there.

I need some ideas... @ 08:40 am

Current Mood: thoughtful

I want to get Jayne's teacher, the one that's retiring and has taught all three of my kids - Karl and Jayne for second grade, and Katie in the chess club - something for her retirement. I want it to be special and fab, but not breaking my bank account. In the past, end-of-year teacher gifts have always been items from Lush, and I'll do that for Miss T and Miss M, but for Mrs. M I want to do something more.

Brainstormed ideas completely welcome.

Any ideas?

kink.fm loves me @ 08:54 am

Current Music: Falling Slowly

I just turned to the station and they started playing Falling Slowly...

ahhh.... *happy sigh*

*head*desk* @ 07:52 pm

Why can't little girl's dance costumes actually FIT? Every year I have to wield the Safety Pins of Security to make the stay on. This year I need to actually sew in an elastic strap to the back of Jayne's pants so they don't fall down, attach the belt to the top of the pants, secure the pants' length so that the pink cuffs fall just below the knee, sew the sequined shoulder straps to the leotard at the right tension to stay up, and I think while I'm at it, I'll attach the little half-shirt right to the leotard in the right places as well.

Hand sewing that won't be pretty, but it's not like anyone in the audience will be able to tell.

Plus, she has a little sequined visor cap and little wristlets. I have to keep track of all these things; hence, the sewing of some of them together!

Terri, costumes...they suck, man.

Watching "The Boys" @ 11:33 pm

Current Mood: tired

That's parentspeak for QAF. (Sex and the City are "The Girls".)

Yes, we're still not done, but I think the final disc has arrived! We're still on disc four of the final season and Babylon just blew up. Gah. We watched that episode and the one after it, where everyone is still reeling but Michael is recovering.

BRIAN has gone off his rocker, and I have my suspicions about things that are *really* happening to him that he's not sharing, he's just reacting, combined with the bombing.

I got a bunch of cross-stitching done while watching. Ahhh...and I did some REwriting. Because I'm weird like that. heh.
