Overwhelmed with the Ordinary

It's that time of year again... @ 07:39 am

[info]master_chatnoir, my darling, dear friend, is once again raising funds for breast cancer so that she can participate in the 3-Day walk in honor of her mother, as well as her sisters.

You can read her story and donate here.

Fandom rallied around her last year and raised so much money! So, I'm spreading the word and asking once again that you donate however you can.

Please pass this along! She's already nearly halfway to her required dollar amount to walk!

GO CHAT!

I should go back to bed. @ 02:18 pm

You know those days...you get up and think, "today is going to be any old normal day."

And then you lock your keys in your car.

*head*desk*

Yeah. I had to go run a few quick errands - shouldn't have taken me more than an hour. I told MissFancyPants I'd be back soon.

Nearly three hours later....

I had gone to Barnes & Noble to get my son a particular StarWars book for his birthday. (I'd found it at Borders before, where hegot the first one, but B&N is closer to the house.) They don't haveit. They don't even have it in their system. So I figure, I'll go thefive more miles and hit up Borders for it.

KEYS. ARE. IN. THE. CAR.

IN. MY. PURSE.

Because I thought I'd run in and out, I just grabbed my wallet frommy purse and headed in, after having dropped the keys in there.

ARGH!

Took hubby 45 minutes to ride the train to the park-n-ride where his car was, and then drive to me.

But we had lunch together, which was nice, because we hardly ever get to do that.

Still. Grar.

I hate doing dumb things like that. Don't you?

I wanted to let you know that Grampa is in the hospital in C. city.
He went in yesterday, and seems better today.  It is his heart.  He
has congestive heart failure, has had it for a while.  The pacemaker
has helped, but lately, it is much worse. Also, he is in a lot of pain
from his back and hip.  He was very unresponsive, and couldn't really
move.  Mom was very scared, so they called the ambulance to take him.
Now, he is talking more and his color is better.  I am going up there
tomorrow.  He will be in the hospital at least over the weekend.  We
will need to arrange in-home health care for him.  Mom has done a
great ob, but she is tired.  She needs help.  I will be trying to
arrange that while I am there.

Mom is staying there at night, but when I get there, I'm gonna try to
get her to go home at night so she can rest.  Hopefully, dad will be
better by then and she'll feel better about leaving him.

My cell phone number is ***.  I should be there by about 6:00 or so.

Talk to you later,
Love,
Diddy

Diddy is my aunt.

Oh, gods.
