Overwhelmed with the Ordinary

When I was little, I thought....

*************

When I was little, I thought there were little tv cameras at every stoplight and that workers at the Traffic Light Company changed the lights from red to green and back again when they determined traffic needs compelled it.

When I was little I thought the GTE (phone company) building in Cornelius, with its little tiny rectangular windows scattered within the brick walls, was a baby hospital and the windows were for putting brand new babies on display for the public.

When I was little, I thought the bands all came to the radio station to play the songs live when it was their song's turn to be played.

When I was little, I thought the change you got back from a transaction at the store was part of shopping itself - changing paper money into coins.

In completely other news, Justin Timberlake on SNL last night...the boy looks GOOD in a unitard, white hose and black heels.

Disneyland @ 11:50 pm

Roy's listening to me seriously about this, and took my offer of forgoing cons for the year as a sign of my seriousness. DMB would still happen.

He may even approach his parents about Disney money as Christmas gifts instead of taking us shopping like they did last year.

I'm finding the whole package deal thing confusing, though. Most deals talk about two adults, one jr and one child. We'd have 2 jrs and one child. They are not very forthcoming with what an additional person would be, but in looking at their park hopper tickets ourselves, it seems it would just be that and whatever a rollaway bed would be.

In poking around I can find package deals with Alaska and a Clarion hotel that would be $2600 or so altogether for five nights, and then we'd stlll need the five tickets.

I've got friends also looking at accomdations.

Hopefully this would work out. We could even drive and it would be $300 for gas or so, but lots of time in the car with cranky kids and needing food. Hrm.

at any rate, this might happen!
