Okay, so we all know people act like goddamn animals on Black Friday, and I'm sure 90% of you know how some clerk in a Wal Mart got trampled to death by the early morning stampede. If you're in the 10% that doesn't know, look it up for yourself. D: I'm not your own personal Google, betch.

No, in all seriousness, I work in retail, but I'd rather put this stupid ass day behind me. One day a year I have a constant reminder of why I should throw out any hope for humanity and right now I'd rather forget it.

In other news, my car sucks. We were driving back from the comic book store when Cameron and I heard a sound that was something like a gunshot. We thought one of my tires had popped, but all 4 of them are pretty much in tact. No idea what happened. It sounded like it came from my car so I have no idea what's going on. :| In any case, I need to get my friggin' oil changed at the very LEAST. I'll probably get on that tomorrow.

casserole, I've started to gather things for your Christmas present. :D I'm going to look for a few more things and then I've got to find a way to pack it all up. :X I kind of had a little help from the Asian trinket store when I bought those gifts for Kitten. Also, Oreo Cakesters, Y/N? I bought some and I thought I'd leave a package of original and a package of chocolate creme in there too. However, IDK whether you like anything like that or not.

Apparently they're doing construction on the 3rd floor of our building where my club meets, so it seems that the heat around here is more broken than usual. The doors were locked when we came up, so Cameron went and got the keys. I would really like to move to another building on campus, even if just for tonight, but since he doesn't feel like getting another key for the rooms in the building that I suggested we move to, I told him not to bother. However, I hope he doesn't expect me to stay on task during our meeting, because I'm feeling way to fuzzy due to the heat to be able to focus. Basically it's warm enough in here that all I want to do is lie down and fall asleep. Especially since I'm coming off of having to work a shift that required me to get up at 4:00 in the morning, and I pretty much haven't really slept since. :|

Okay, before you guys...kill my legs for being another person adding to the dramafest that it probably now most of your friends list, hear me out.

I have a theory why we're all so secretive between each other when we piss each other off/make each other upset/etc, etc.

Could it possibly be because when anyone in this group is truthful with anyone else there's a major dramafest?

I'm thinking that might be partly responsible. Just maybe.

I mean, look at how the whole chat-that-shall-not-be-named fiasco wound up. Someone said something that irked other people in the chat and everyone went into their own separate butthurt corners, no one can use that chat name again and the community we made along with the chatroom for fun got deleted. And lets face it, our chatrooms have never been as good as they were before all the butthurt. Now, thanks to that we're all trying to avoid that as much as possible for the sake of everyone (well, almost everyone) staying together and actually having a drama-free time. Natural response, right? Can't say I entirely fault everyone for it.

Not saying that it wouldn't be nice if it stopped, but I get it. I certainly won't say I haven't held back my opinion more than once on the off-chance that I might lose a friend who wouldn't take my comments or opinions in stride.

I'm not going to sit here and preach about how we all apparently need thicker skins or some mess like that. Not my place. I just thought I'd point out a possible obvious reason for all the cryptic posts, multiple posts in letter communities, and people not being genuine with one another.

Thought that maybe that would shed some light on the subject. Either that or I'm just tired and rambling.

Okay, the election is over. I did address those on the other side earlier, but it was the extreme cases of whining on the other side with the cries of moving to another country, and ridiculous claims of socialism that annoyed me. Instead of losing other friends by addressing one certain person who sparked my last post, I decided to take my grievances with that kind of train of thought here. Honestly, I'm glad for those supporting the Republican party who have had the grace to managed to give the president-elect the benefit of the doubt, but I digress.

Really the message I wanted to convey in this post to everyone else is:

Stop whining.

Everyone.

This includes everyone going "OMG I'M SO TIRED OF SEEING THIS ON MY FL!!!!"

Especially those people.

You act as though this will last forever, when the reality is this excitement, debate, and "OMG I'M MOVING TO *insert country here*" shit probably won't even make it to January.

I'd like this chance to thank the McCain supporters for, in the wake of Obama's win, showing me the error of my ways. I can't believe there were so many things I didn't know about the Democrats and their policies. Thank God they've taken their time to educate me and show me the errors of my ways.

For until the many rants, complaints, and declarations of relocation to Canada have shown me that I was unaware of many things.

For instance,

I did not know that giving a tax cut to hard-working people who actually deserve it instead of corporations was actually socialist policy.

I did not know that wanting to make sure that everyone had affordable health care so they could get proper treatment for themselves and their children so that our country could thrive as a healthy nation as opposed to a sickly one made me a pinko commie.

I did not know that wanting to retain jobs and trying to keep our trade deficit in check was something Karl Marx would do.

I did not know that wanting a woman to have the right to choose, gays the right to marry, and the disabled to have research to help their condition made me a danger to families of people that I've never met and will probably never even know.

I did not know that wanting to not have the breath smog for the rest of my life and pay $10+ a gallon of gas for the rest of my life made me a tree hugging hippy.

I did not know that worrying about the welfare of our troops, overstaying our welcome in an area that already has a great deal of hatred for us, and wanting to repair our relationships with other countries in the world made me a terrorist.

I didn't know that wanting scientific research made me a Godless Anti-Christ.

I did not know that wanting for the good of everyone, not just an elite few obviously made me akin to Stalin.

So I figured I should probably update this with something other than meme bull or announcements that I thought were important at the time or something. IDK

In any case, the past couple weeks have not been so fun. :\ I've been sick for this past week, which is fabulous. D: Still not completely over it. I've still got an EPIC FREAKING COUGH. D: That and I wake up in the middle of the night with a sore throat, have a few coughing fits and then turn over and go back to sleep. I'M OBVIOUSLY HAVING THE TIME OF MY LIFE, YO.

As far as school is going, I'm not too confident. Psychology is a breeze, as always, but Chemistry and Japanese are kicking my ass. I'm not used to the new instructor in Japanese and I'm okay with that, as that's my problem, but the professor in Chemistry is a complete bitch. D: I understand not wanting to have your students playing with phones or on their laptops during class, but do you have to come off as SUCH a bitch when you ask people to put them away before you lecture? I mean, really. I can understand calling someone out if they disobey your rules in the middle of lecture, but embarrassing people before you even start? That just makes you look like a fucking bitch. At least give them a chance to put them away before you point them out. Jesus.

Work has been pissing me off lately. They've pretty much started to deny everyone of their requests to take a day off, which is not only unfair, but really annoying. I requested Sugoi Con off and they denied me that. Granted, I would be more upset if I was actually going (I'm not because I've realized with all my upcoming expenses, I can't afford it. Cameron can't take me anyway, he has a mountain of work.), but it's really down the the principle of the thing. I also realize what time of year this is, and quite frankly, I'd be willing to accept that as the reason if they hadn't been rejecting people's time off requests since FUCKING MAY.

I've heard several things, but the one I believe the most is that the people taking care of HR are fucking LAZY and don't want to change the schedule. I know they've already denied Megan her day off to GRADUATE. She says she's going to talk to them, and if they do not accommodate her she's calling Integrity. And rightly so. That's some fucking nerve to reject her request to go fucking graduate.

So, in this case, long story short I wound up giving my hours to Karen on Saturday. I might not be going to Sugoi Con this year, but I'm going to show these fuckers that I'm SERIOUS. If I ask for the day off, I'm going to fucking TAKE IT, barring a reasonable excuse as to why I can't have the day off. So far they've given me none. Next time I may not even try and find someone to take my hours. I might just call off.

On top of my bosses being inconsiderate, lazy assholes, it appears that the cleaning crew for our store (which is contracted out, surprise, surprise) hasn't shown up for the past weekend or returned any of the stores calls, leave the cashiers to do their job. First off, it's not in my goddamn job description to empty trash or clean the restrooms, and it isn't in the front manager's either. And yet, with all we have to do at the front with the rush for Halloween, it somehow magically falls on our shoulders to play janitor while the lazy bastards back in the offices sit on their asses or wander around the store and accuse us of not doing enough.

Really, I was pissed yesterday because when I came in the goddamn store was a mess, and I'm the one who had to fucking clean most of it up. Usually I wouldn't give a shit if I had to remove the trashbags and whatnot, but since I'm sick I'm fairly certain that sticking my hand into something WET in the trashcans sans some kind of rubber gloves is a bad idea. And all because Pedro can't fucking be arsed to show up and do his goddamn job. Part of me wonders if they all just took the equipment they still have from the store, sold it, and then ran the fuck off with the money. :|

THEN, I find a certain someone didn't reorder some receipt tape, leaving us with HALF A ROLL LEFT of tape. When one of my managers asked the certain person responsible for doing the ordering the fucker said "Well I looked two weeks ago, and it was fine!"

UH, THAT WAS TWO WEEKS AGO, JACKASS. THIS SHIT DOES GET USED, YOU KNOW.

I think it's pretty obvious that I was ecstatic about work yesterday. They asked me to stay late and all I did was laugh, and then clock out when 3:00 rolled around. :|

If they aren't careful they may have one less cashier come Black Friday. And I don't mean I'm putting my two weeks in, if you know what I'm saying.

Anyway, I gotta run. I need to get into the shower so I can be ready to go off to class.

Dear Scott,

I'm not going to say over the years that you haven't been helpful. I'm not going to say you didn't try your hardest to keep things running smoothly or that you didn't try to make it easier for me to adjust to Guild. However, recent events have caused me to call your motivation for all that you do into question. Are you doing what you do for Guild or because it gives you something to do with your life for once on Friday nights? Did you really do book orders for the rest of Guild for reimbursement through our club for the members, or did you do it because you wanted a 4.0 set for yourself at a severely discounted price? Now you want us to reimburse YOU and just about YOU ALONE (I'm sure you'll say otherwise, but that's essentially what you want) for going to a convention that could NOT have been a Guild function because we did not set it through Student Activities?

You've got your nerve.

Really, it's hard for me to say whether you changed or if this was how you were all along and I just didn't see it at the time, but you happen to be one of the most controlling people I know. EVERYONE has to follow your plan. Any other plans are either too risky or doomed to failure in your eyes. Not only are you like this in-game, but you do this in club affairs. And when things don't go your way you either leave or go crying to our faculty advisor, Dr. Doom, or BOTH. For the longest time, I couldn't understand why Michelle had so many goddamn problems with you, but it's all becoming pretty lucid to me now.

Now, if you had been an actual officer these past couple years and elected to a position this year, I would understand the reason you're throwing a huge hissy about our president, JIm, coming in and making changes without at least listening to you. However, you seem to forget that you haven't been a student at our college for TWO YEARS NOW. This means you aren't even eligible to be elected to an officer position. And even though you seem to have this warped idea that you are OWED an appointed position, and you keep begging Jim for one, you're not going to get it.

You have a hard time changing your mind about anyone. It seems like once someone makes a certain impression for themselves with you, you won't or can't change it, no matter what they do. Which is why I will always be a "noob" who has no idea what the fuck she's doing because she doesn't follow your plans, Jim will always be some frat party boy no matter what ideas he contributes or how he streamlines the workings of the club, and none of us will have a handle on how to take care of Guild because we don't think like you do. Everyone should think like you do, and be in the same situation as you are. You know how frustrating it is when you always assume I have money to go do things? Dear Rich,

I don't know what the hell Scott told you, but it's probably either wrong or half the story. I know you've got something against Jim since he's a frat boy and you've been taught most of your life that he's the enemy, but you need to get the hell over it. People can be more than one sub-group. It's just that most of the time people are so two dimensional that it doesn't happen often. Well, it happened with Jim and he's trying to connect us and keep us from just being a bunch of people who happen to show up at the same time, on the same floor of the same building every week to game. God forbid we have a little interaction between groups besides you bursting into the room talking like a pirate and whatnot.

Happy post-birthday?

Well, yesterday didn't really go how I wanted. I feel like a spoiled brat sitting there saying it like that. I mean, it's not like Cameron didn't take me out on Tuesday, or my friends didn't show up to say happy birthday and give me hugs or anything, and it's not like all of you on here haven't been wonderful. (I really appreciate all the birthday wishes, by the way, not to mention the lj cut on honorcup)

I don't know. It just felt like I should be doing something more than the usual that night. Instead, I found myself stuck at Guild, moodily wandering the hallways by myself after awhile. Once again, I feel like some kind of spoiled five year old. :\

Today is going considerably better. I basically went to work for 3 hours. XD; WTF, right? Well, first I get there and some guy buys a huge TV, so I get him to sign up for a credit card. XD For doing that, they gave me yet another stuffed target dog. I got one earlier for getting credit card applications. The first one has a little winter vest and scarf, the other has a kind of safari outfit on or something. XD; Then they asked if someone wanted to go home, and since I thought they were joking I was like "ME!" and so they let me go home. X.x;

I would be headed up to Cameron's now, but I have to help mom move all the non-perishable food back up to the kitchen. We took it out before the guys came in to work on our kitchen ceiling which has pretty much been messed up since forever. X.x; Once I do that I'll probably give him a call and head up.

That's pretty much all that's going on. I have this week and then I have to return to school. I'm partially looking forward to it, and partially not. X.x; Once again, hard to explain.
