Dear Self:
LOLWHUT.
You barely have time to do the stuff you have to get done and still have time to do stuff (like writing and reading and running FG) that, oh, keeps you sane. So what the hell is this sudden longing to do a WW sidestory about? You don't even have a story in mind! Seb and Vi are off-limits because you don't need Seb's particular brand of crazy right now, ditto Murph, ditto Patrick. Anything interesting involving Alex would probably involve Alex getting hurt, and you don't need the murderin'. Gabs is fine where she is, so is Jen. Tabby has nothing fun going on, likewise Chelsea. James needs to concentrate on not getting killed, ditto Eva. Scott and Eden don't need romance-novel-esque scenes (trust me, no one wants to read it). We're not even going to touch Theo.
...I suppose we could have Ted and Alicia, or just plan out Ted getting to the Arx (or maybe even writing up a profile for him sometime, gasp). Or profiling Pippa, or finishing up that story about her. But! Not now.
AND NO APPING LUCCIO OR MAGGIE. NO. BAD MIND. DO NOT NEED NEW CHARACTERS. Especially not on FG, ye gods. Grow up. Also, Maggie is D-E-D dead. Apping her will not be productive in anyone's minds. Especially as she has no Malcolm. A Maggie without a Malcolm is a sad Maggie. You don't want a sad Maggie in your head, now do you? You're having enough problems with mopey!crampy!scared Maggie.
Remember, self, now is the time for the studyings, not the time for the procrastinatings. That's what Faire is for.

So I was adding some new interests to my LJ profile (because I, uh... have some new interests. Yes.) and found myself feeling defensive every time I typed a female name, thinking, basically, FUCK YOU, SHE'S AWESOME, because I felt as if someone somewhere was going to be criticizing my love for them.
So, anyway, then I made a list of women who make me want to say FUCK YOU, SHE'S AWESOME. They are far from the only women who are awesome, or the only women people need to be told to step off of, but they are the top ten I feel that way about, right now, off the top of my head.
If you want to argue with me about the awesomeness of any of these women, I am afraid I will simply be referring you to the subject line. THAT IS ALL.
1. Detective-Sergeant Karrin Murphy (yes, people have argued with me)
2. Kaylee Frye (why do people underestimate her? She has a wrench!)
3. Special Agent Dana Scully (people've argued with me about her too)
4. Sarah Jane Smith (Torchwood, you are doing it wrong. Seriously. Take a lesson from her)
5. Emma Thompson (\o/)
6. Molly Carpenter (She can end you)
7. Susan Rodriguez (TV SHOW I AM LOOKING AT YOU)
8. Barbara Wright Chesterton (*eyes certain NewWho fans narrowly, including RTD*)
9. One word: ACE. (*eyes RTD again*)
10. Evelyn Carnahan O'Connell (scary woman when she wants to be)

11. Elizabeth I. ROSALIND MILES I AM LOOKING AT YOU. Anyone who treated Elizabeth like you have Robin Dudley treating her would've lost his head in about a nanosecond.
