I hate this time of month. Either I'm in so much pain that I can't function (and can't eat due to nausea because it hurts so much; that's a charming new development), or I'm dizzy and flaky from the medication that keeps the pain away, and can't function. I swear to God, if they make me jump through one more hoop to get on birth control, I am going to break down in tears.

	Good grief, why are they making you jump through any hoops? For me, if was just a brief discussion with my gyn about my options, then she wrote me a prescription, then I picked it up at the pharmacy an hour later. What's the holdup? (Reply to this)(Thread)

1) When did you get a Scribbld account? Yay! *friends*

2) I don't want it for birth control purposes, I want it to get rid of cramps. I think the doctor wants to make sure that the cramps aren't being caused by anything nasty like ovarian cysts or cervical cancer before she makes them go away. I would prefer, of course, that she prescribed me birth control and then ensured that the cramps weren't being caused by anything nasty, but then I'm not a doctor. So, hoops.

3) How sad is it that I automatically capitalize Doctor now?

The only reason I have a Scribbld account is so that I get reply notifications when you respond to something I comment on in your journal. :D

And I wanted birth control for the same reason--to balance my hormones and get rid of cramps. My cramps were admittedly nowhere near the severity of yours, but they were pretty damn painful. Ah well. I'm not a doctor either. *glomps*

That's okay, I like friending people. It makes me look popular on teh intarwebs. :D

Also, mine weren't this bad until roundabout this March, and they've been getting exponentially worse with every passing month, which probably explains why my doctor is getting panicky. I, too, would quite like to know if I have, for example, cervical cancer (ovarian cysts have already been ruled out, thank God), so I'll put up with the tests. I'd just like less side-effecty medication, thanks.

On a less nasty note, I have a bit of Discworld/Doctor Who crack that could use a beta. Can I nab you after fireworks tonight, or have you got nefarious plans?
