Dear Self:

LOLWHUT.

You barely have time to do the stuff you have to get done and still have time to do stuff (like writing and reading and running FG) that, oh, keeps you sane. So what the hell is this sudden longing to do a WW sidestory about? You don't even have a story in mind! Seb and Vi are off-limits because you don't need Seb's particular brand of crazy right now, ditto Murph, ditto Patrick. Anything interesting involving Alex would probably involve Alex getting hurt, and you don't need the murderin'. Gabs is fine where she is, so is Jen. Tabby has nothing fun going on, likewise Chelsea. James needs to concentrate on not getting killed, ditto Eva. Scott and Eden don't need romance-novel-esque scenes (trust me, no one wants to read it). We're not even going to touch Theo.

...I suppose we could have Ted and Alicia, or just plan out Ted getting to the Arx (or maybe even writing up a profile for him sometime, gasp). Or profiling Pippa, or finishing up that story about her. But! Not now.

AND NO APPING LUCCIO OR MAGGIE. NO. BAD MIND. DO NOT NEED NEW CHARACTERS. Especially not on FG, ye gods. Grow up. Also, Maggie is D-E-D dead. Apping her will not be productive in anyone's minds. Especially as she has no Malcolm. A Maggie without a Malcolm is a sad Maggie. You don't want a sad Maggie in your head, now do you? You're having enough problems with mopey!crampy!scared Maggie.

Remember, self, now is the time for the studyings, not the time for the procrastinatings. That's what Faire is for.

Convinced-you're-on-crack-love,
Yourself

Dear Darling Friends:

If you encourage me, I will end you.

Hugs and kisses!
Me

Some Things

1) My ears are suck. Fortunately the meds come today and I can survive until then. *cranky ouch*

2) This song is kind of me, though not so much my boyfriend. Sorry, love. :D

3) Theo Henslow Sr. shall totally be played by Sylvester McCoy. Trufax.

4) Apparently my theater has a ghost. I did not know this until I read a book about college ghost legends. As opposed to the... four?... ghosts at Madeira, all of whom I saw or experienced at least once. There's a girl who plays piano in the basement, and the ghost of a techie who fell from the catwalks, who's now the patron saint of techies. Then Miss Madeira walking her dogs, and the loft ghost. The one here at Redlands is apparently the ghost of a theater director who died in a car crash and now comes to watch every play.

5) Allergies are suck. Especially when you didn't know you had them.

6) I can has summer vacation yet?

Geekitude

Intriguing thing I came up with while researching costumes for WW*:

The Operative and Book have a very similar costume theme, at least series!Book and movieopening!Operative. Compare this picture with this picture. They both wear a grey top: with the Operative, this appears to be some sort of jacket, with a collar that, while never closed, could echo Book's clerical-esque collar on his grey shirt. The Operative wears a black shirt beneath the jacket, while Book occasionally wears a black jacket. Both men have dark-colored trousers, both have similar color schemes. Coincidence?

*I know this shows signs of hopeless geekitude, but I did come up with some rather interesting factoids. Frex, Murphy has a lace-up leather vest and leather bracers that she always wears out in the field, since both are enchanted with the same spell that Harry's duster has in normal Dresdenverse to ward off cuts and magical blows. She also usually wears her hair in a crown braid, which means both it's at least shoulder-length and that Alex and Harry must've gotten good at braiding (presumably Nina Grey taught one or both of them). I'm working on standard uniforms, Jen, and Gabrielle now.**

**If you're as geeky as me and would like a costume design for a character, drop me a word and I'll see what I can do. Odds are you'll get a wordy description rather than a sketch, because my artistic skillz are nil.

And random funnies:
Is it bad when my very first thought upon seeing this is "Dammit, Harry, not again!"
Or does that just mean I'm hallucinating?

OMG OMG OMG SPRINGTIME FOR HITLER.
IT IS JOHN BARROWMAN AND HE IS BLONDE AND FABULOUS.
YES, THIS REQUIRES ALL CAPS.
BLONDE. AND FABULOUS.

This is very, very bad.
The following collection of names appeared in a fanfic I was reading; Paul, Christopher, Thomas, David, Jonathan, William, Patrick, Peter, Colin, and Sylvester. And I knew what the correlation was.* Right off the bat.
This is bad on so many levels.

*For the curious, those are the first names of the actors for, in order, Doctors Eight, Nine, Four, Ten, Three, One, Two, Five, Six, and Seven.

Oi, Pris, I had a weird dream. It was a kind of fixit sequel to Cold Comfort, where it turned out Murph got resurrected by something or other (I think the dream blamed faeries) and then Lasciel mysteriously disappeared, Murph started channeling the Eighth Doctor's Jesus imagery and then fell asleep on Harry's doorstep where he tripped over her the next morning. Yeah, you explain it. It's your fault anyway.
