Okay! With the rate the game's been going, a conversation with Kristin spurred a new idea and this is an introductory post of sorts!
Floo Calls!
from the Lexicon:
• If desired, a witch or wizard using the Floo Network may use it only to speak with another Floo connection rather than to travel there
• It is important to state the name of the intended destination very clearly so as to avoid being connected to the wrong location. The Network's function, in fact, is something similar in principle to the use of a Muggle telephone; giving an incorrect destination is like dialing a wrong number.
Not a new concept for the wizarding world, but for Valesco, I'm pretty sure there hasn't actually been a log of it? For those of you that do stretch their RP muses to the world outside Valesco, it's like a phone call thread. It's also kind of like a script to a play, if you want some emotions expressed through more than dialogue, you can add them in brackets.
Character 1: [starts fire] The person/place I want to call's name here!!
Character 1: Hellooooo! [speaking quickly] There you are! I've just had four cups of coffee and I wanted to chat what time is it the sun's not up!
Character 2: [SEVERELY ANGRY] STOP CALLING ME AT RANDOM HOURS OF THE DAY! [extinguishes fire]
...right.
Anyway, we don't want you to solely use floo calls (or phone calls, if you have muggle characters/interactions). But with everyone's busy schedules, any sort of character interaction is good! You post these like regular threads, but must note in the heading that it's a floo call, and there'll be a tag set up for those as well.
And you can mess with the order of things, like maybe in a heated conversation someone cuts someone else off orrr I don't know, you're all creative!
If you want to make floo icons, I would love you forever lmao
